Lead-in

Show a photo of me and let students guess who she is. Give them Some clues (线索) :She is tall./She is thin./He has long straight hair./She is a teacher./She wears glasses. Unit 9 What does he look like?

Watching a short video and discuss how to describe people’s looks.

3.Discussion T: How do we usually describe people’s looks？

Ss: height(身高)/build(身材)/hair(头发) T: Yes,we can describe people’s looks from three parts: height/build/hair The teacher write them down and let students read them. 【设计意图】课堂的开始，就像一场戏的序曲一样，幕布一打开，就要使学生快速入戏。老师通过设置悬念，让学生猜测是谁，展示自己的一张生活照片，引起学生的兴趣，拉近师生关系，为后面的学习做铺垫。

Step 2 Presenting（发展）

1. 【设计意图】通过展示明星，自己班学生和任课老师的照片，学习描述人的身高、身材和头发。以身边人为例，鲜明形象又能吸引学生的注意力。每一项后都有相应的展示练习，加深记忆。

We can describe people’s looks from three parts: height/build/hair. Let students finish 1a on page49. 【设计意图】此处单词归纳环节设计一个比赛游戏，充分调动学生的积极性，活跃课堂气氛，培养学生的团队意识，在比赛游戏中又练习巩固了新知识。

3. Pair work Students describe people’s looks according to the pictures and then do a pair work (ask and answer) --What does he/she look like? --He/She is.../He/She is... 【设计意图】学生对上一环节做出总结，描述人的外貌可以描述身高身材和头发。通过同桌互问“他/她长什么样”将所学内容进行综合。

【设计意图】学生通过听录音进一步感受语音、语调之美。通过这个环节，学生能有意识地通过模仿录音，更加有感情的朗读英语。

Step 3 Suspense (悬念) Consolidation （Show time）

Let students choose a number or a picture they like best and finish the tasks.

游戏规则：选择你喜欢的数字或者图片，根据对应的题目作答，正确得分,如答错，其他人可以纠错。

【设计意图】戏剧或者故事的悬念观众最期待。课堂里学生的产出最终怎么样，也是一个悬念。此环节培养学生的交际能力和应变能力，这环节也是对所学知识的一个综合运用和提升。

Step 4 Climax (高潮) Extension（拓展部分）

favorite member to us ! 在55班这个大家庭中选择一个你最喜欢的人，介绍他/她的外貌！

【设计意图】戏剧的高潮部分最吸引人，是全剧的重头戏。这节课的产出部分，无疑是这节课的亮点和重点。通过巩固环节后，学生接着进行更深层次的拓展，鼓励他们用本节课所学内容描述他们最喜欢的班级成员，进一步对所学知识进行升华和巩固。

Step 5 Ending (结局) 1. Summary. Ask one of the students to summarize what they learned in this class. 2. Watch a video about this class. 3. Chant time. Let students chant the words and sentences. 4.Moral education(情感教育）. Read the following sentences together. Everyone is special. 人人都很特别！

【设计意图】一堂课的结尾相当于一部戏的结局。编筐编篓，重在收口。以微视频的方式对这节课的重点内容进行总结，学生乐于接受并能将精力集中到视频内容上。在课的最后进行情感提升，每个人都是特别和重要的，不要以貌取人。

Step 7 教学设计反思

一、课堂导入环节利用自己的照片，快速吸引学生注意，让学生猜测是谁的照片充分调动了学生学习的积极性，为营造良好的课堂气氛垫定基础。

二、新课讲授环节，利用身边同学和老师的照片，采用了师生问答的方式，给学生做出了示范。每个方面都跟有练习，随讲随练，然后综合所学内容进行练习展示。设计上由易到难，也最大程度的保证每个同学都有展示的机会。

三、教学中加入游戏比赛，即调动了同学们的积极性，也培养了同学们的团队合作意识，寓教于乐。

四、教学环节中对于学生的表现及时给予鼓励性评价，提高了学生的参与热情。同时，最后的拓展部分，学生展示环节，让学生们充分表达自己的想法。

五、课件制作方面，在制作课件时，基本采用空白底版，重点突出教学内容，虽然略显单调，但清晰明确。排版设计时，也力求简单明了，效果不错。在课件制作时，我也学到了一些平时不常用的课件制作知识。
