一、Teaching aims：

1) Try to learn how to describe the features of the animals.

2) Try to learn how to express the reson why they love animals. 2. Teaching difficult points：

To show a video of

Kungfu Panda. And ask some questions: -What kind of animals you can see in this video? -Do you like pandas? -Why do you like pandas? 2)

Then have them to recall the animals they had learned and write them on the blackboard as he/she can. ( e.g. animals---sheep, monkey, cat, dog, mouse, cow, duck… )

Ⅱ. Presentation 1. Show the class some pictures of animals and present other animals. And ask them:

What’s this in English?

It's a tiger. (Then lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe)

Ss look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals.

2. Next, play a game namd The Wheel of

Fortune.

Ⅲ. Practice.

1.Work on 1a and 1b.

1) First, match the words with the animals in the pictures in 1a.

2) Then, tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.

3)Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.

4) Practice the conversation with your partner in 1c, then make conversations about the other animals in 1a. Ss should use the words in the box. IV. Production

Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” , Then ask students to interview their partners what kind of animals do they like and why? Write it in a chart. Homework:

1.

Remember the new words and expressions in this period.

2.

Role-play the conversation after class.

3.

Write the animal's names as many as possible in the exercises book.
