Section B Writing 一、Teaching objectives：

By the end of the lesson, the students are expected to : 1.

use a mind map to make plans for writing. 2.

write a short article by imitating the example.

evaluate writing with a checklist. 4.

know more about the vacation places in China and love our country. 二、Difficult points in teaching: 1.

The past tense of verbs. 2.

Use the right sentence structure to describe the past event. 三、Teaching process Ⅰ. Warming up 1. Watch a video. 2. Guess: 1)Where did Miss Dong go?

2)How did Miss Dong get there?

3)What did Miss Dong do? 3.Write students’ answers on the blackboard Ⅱ. Pr-writing 1.

Show a mind map about my vacation. 2.

Group discussion: How much information can you get from the mind map? 3.

Ask and answer: 1)Where did I go?

2)When did I go?

3)Who did I go with?

4)How did I get there?

5)What did I do?

6)How did I feel? 4.

Present the example article and read together. 5.

Divide the article into three parts and analyze what can we write in each part.

III. Writing 1. Finish your own mind map and share with your partner. 2. Write an article My Vacation.

IV. Post-writing 1. Share your writing on white board and self evaluate it. 2. Evaluate other student’s writing according to the checklist.
