【教学目标】

知识目标

What does he/she look like? He/She is tall/short . He/She’s short and he/she has straight hair. He/She is of medium build, and he/she has long black hair. He/She wears glasses.He/She is wearing a T-shirt , pants and sports shoes now. 能力目标 1.

通过学习，培养学生运用What does he /she look like ? He /she is ….He/She has ….He/She wears….等句型来描述人物外貌特征，并能通过听他人的描述描绘人物. 2.

能积极思维，运用所学单词，短语以及句型，结合实际生活，主动灵活运用英语进行交际。

情感目标

引导学生学会观察与描述人物外貌，引导他们逐步领悟到外貌美的人与事不一定是真正美丽的，看起来丑的人与事不一定是丑恶的，真正的美源于心灵的善良，心灵的美才是真正的美。

--- Yes, there is. It’s on Center Street. And it’s across from the park. Step2.To learn the new words. 1）Learn the new words in pairs( P 49-50 of Unit 9) ,纠正不准确的读音

Step3.Presentation 1、学习并领会归纳有关描述人的外形的词汇

人物外貌描写：

1). hairstyle发型：long /short hair,straight/curly hair,black/brown/blonde hair 2). height身高：tall, short, (of) medium height 3）build身材/体型：heavy/fat, thin, (of) medium build 2.

口语训练重点

句型结构：

What do you look like? / What does he look like? 1)---- What do you look like? ---- I am short and I am medium build. --- I have a friend. -----What does he look like? ---- He is tall and he has long hair. 2).-----What does she look like? ----- She has long hair. Step4.Practise ( A1a ) Now please look at P49, match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer. (Keys: e, b/h, a, a/e/f, h, f, a/e/g, c/h, g, a) Step5. Listen 1b．

Listen carefully and fill in the blanks and find Amy’s friend? We will listen twice．The first time, just listen．The second time，listen and fill in the blanks．And say Amy’s friend’s look．( He's really tall．And he has curly hair.) Step5. Practice 1c 1. Ask two students to read the sample conversation to the class. Then ask the class to point to the girl in the picture who has long hair and is heavy. 2. Ask the student to point out the person you described. Then make a dialogue with the students. Then Ss practice the dialogue in pairs. Step 6. Answer the question quickly. Step 7. 2a Listen and answer the questions.
