Be able to read and recite the dialogue. 2.

Be able to know how to recite the dialogue. 2.

Be able to make up a dialogue with the sentence pattern “Is this a / an …?” in different situation. Teaching Difficulties: Be able to make up a dialogue with the sentence pattern “Is this a / an …?” in different situation. Teaching Aids: PPT, some fruits, word cards.

Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Warming up. 1. Greeting. 2. Sing a song “ Apple Tree”

Step 2: Presentation and drill. Use a magic bag to present the new words and sentences. 1.

Show a banana to the students. (Teacher says: “Look, this is a magic bag. Oh, what’s in it? Let me see. It’s a pear.” )板书单词

Let the students read “pear” after the teacher. 3.

Practice the word. 4.

Show a pear again to present the sentence “Is this a pear?”

Help students to answer. Yes, it is. (板书) 5.

Take out a banana from the magic bag and ask “Is this a pear?”

Teacher helps students to answer. “No, it isn’t. It’s a banana.”

Practice the new word and sentence. 7.

Use the same way to teach “lemon, apple, orange”. “Is this a /an …”

“Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.”

Step 3: Practice. 1.

Game 1: What’s missing? Let the students look at the screen carefully. Let them to find out the missing fruits.

Game 2: Touch and guess. Let studengts touch the fruits to guess. Use the sentence pattern “Is this a /an …”

“Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.”

Game 3: Look and guess. Let them look at the pictures and guess. Step 4: The dialogue. 1.

Teacher shows PPT and play the tape. 2.

Ask students to open their books. Listen to the tape. 3.

Show picture 1 in Part A. Get them to listen carefully and read after it. 4.

Try to recite the dialogue of picture 1. 5.

Use the same way to read and recite. The dialogue in picture 2 and picture 3. 6.

Show picture 4. Listen to the dialogue. 7.

Teach the new words “market, classroom”. 8.

Try to recite the whole text. Step5: Consolidation. 1.

Situation 1: At the market. 2.

Situation 2: In the classroom. The students can choose one situation to make a dialogue in groups. Step 6: Homework. Step 7: Saying: An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
