Step1 Warming-up and Leading-in. Greeting with the students.

Imagine we are in the zoo. What animals do you want to see?

Step 2 Presentation Quick response the animals according to the pictures and spell these new words. Ask the students to look at the picture in 1a. Match the words with the animals in the picture.

Step3 Listening practice. Listen and check the animals you hear in 1a.

Step 4 Pair- work Practice the conversation with your partner. Then make conversations about the other animals in 1a. Use the words in the box.

Step 5 Listening practice. Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from. Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Talk about the other two animals in 2a with a partner.

Step 6 Do a report Give us a report about your favorite animal.Give them an example. Eg:I like pandas very much. They are very cute and smart.They are from China. Pandas like eating bamboos best. We can see them in the zoo. They are very precious in our country. We all like pandas very much. How about you ? What animals do you like best? 1

Step7 Play a guessing game. One students try to describe the animals and others guess what animals they are.
