Teaching plan I. Learning aims: Review all kinds of sentence patterns about simple past tense by playing conversations, and learn to use it to talk about past events expertly. Learn to conclude the usage of indefinite pronouns（anyone, anything, someone, something, everything, nothing...etc.）and learn to use them correctly. II. Lesson type:

The usage of indefinite pronouns IV. Learning procedures: Step 1, 1) Greetings

Greet the students as usual.

2) Lead-in

The teacher will ask the students some questions about their weekends, like:

Where did you go on vacation?

Who did you go with?

What did you do there?

How was the weather/food there?

Did you have a good time? The students can review something about the simple past tense by answering these questions. Step2, Role-play the conversation 1)

Find out the phrases in the conversation:

好久不见

在度假

特殊的事情

相当多，不少

没做什么

大部分时间

2) After finding out the phrases, have the students answer the following questions in order to get a better understanding of the conversation.

1. Where did Helen go last month?

2. Who did she go there with?

3. What did she do there?

4. Did Rick do anything special? 3)

Have the students role-play the conversation in pairs. Step3, Indefinite pronouns Find out one sentence with indefinite pronouns, have students

observe it and try to find out its usage. Play the short video about indefinite pronouns; guide the students to take some notes. After watching the video, have them discuss what they have learned from the video in groups in four.

Then one group chooses one part of the exercises to do and teach the class about the exercises. Step4, Interview Have the students ask their group members questions about their last vacation according to the chart below. Then tell the class their results.

Give them a model about the result. Choose some of the students to give a result about their group work. Step5, Homework 1, Finish the exercises in your paper. 2, Share some of your experiences in summer vacation with your friends, and write a short article about it.
