一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：tall,short,curly, straight, medium, thin, heavy, build,height

2) 能掌握以下句型：

—What does he look like? —He’s tall/thin/short/of medium/build. —What does she look like?

—She has long straight hair.

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象。

掌握单词，熟练掌握句型What does he look like?。

2. 教学难点：

掌握描述人的形象的句型。

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Lead-in

Do you have a good friend? Can you describe him or her? 1.

Today we are gonging to learn the unit 9 what does he look like? 2.

First,let’s learn the new words. Height:tall,short,of medium height Build :thin,heavy,of medium build Hair :long,short,straight,curly(教读后留几分钟让学生练读）

Ⅱ. Presentation (Section A 1a) 1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a) 学习课本的第一部分P49,1a先看图片，然后搭配图片和相关的外貌特征的词。

Now please look at P49, Use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer. 留2-3分钟读写1a中的单词、短语。

练习对话，引导学生熟悉有关描述人的外貌特征的词

2. 1b Listen and fill in the blanks in the picture above. Can you find Amy’s friend? A: Is that your friend? B: No, it isn’t.

A: What does he look like? Is he short or tall? B: Well, he’s really ____. And he has _________.

Listen to the dialogue of 1b again and try to find the sentence pattern for asking people’s appearance and the sentences for describing people.

What does he look like? Is he short or tall? He is really tall.

He has curly hair.

教学反思：

本节课我的教学设计环节不错，但由于没有预估好班级实际学情内容显得有点多。并且没有事先让学生预习，导致单词学习时有点拖拉，单词没有掌握好，同学们上课的气氛也没有平时活跃。最值得我深刻反思的是由于专业问题，我在授课时没有全程使用英文来表达。因此，通过本次上课，我觉得作为一名教师要不断的学习并完善自己，多向优秀的人学习，提高自己的教学水平，以丰富多彩的形式来深化英语知识的

神采，尽力把学生们带到原汁原味的英语学境中，全面发展学生听、说、读、写等英语学习能力。
