Unit 10 I’d like some noodles(SectionB2a-2c) Birthday Food Around the World By Lu Wenjie, Chuanxing Middle School The analysis of the teaching material and students: First of all, I’d like to talk about the analysis of the textbook. The lesson is the reading part. It mainly talks about birthday food aroud the world. It shows the students how English works as a tool in people’s daily life.

Such a topic is very interesting and will surely arouse students’ learning interests. It plays a very important part in showing how well the students learn this unit.

Then let me talk about the analysis of students. Students in Grade 7 has mastered some basic knowledge and learning strategies of English, but as their self-recognition has been increasing, they are in a sensitive period, they may be more afraid of making mistakes in front of their classmates, which in result, they will not be so active in class. So during my class, I’ll give them courage to help them build up the confidence in learning English. Teaching aims: 1. Knowledge aims: (1)Students can master the new words and phrases:.world,birthday cake with candies,the number of ..,make a wish,blow out the candles in one go

(2) Students can master the sentence pattern in this part:

Emotional aims: (1) Students can improve their culture recognition; (2) Students can cooperate with others actively, and complete the tasks together; According to the above analysis, I presuppose the following focal points and difficult points. Focal points and difficult points: 1. Have students master the new words and language points. 2. Know about food culture and birthday culture around the world. 3. Improve students’ reading skills and interest of learning English.

Teaching methods and studying ways: In this class, I will mainly adopt task-based teaching method.The aim is to improve students’ enthusiasm and teach them to learn to play and play to learn. Students will use Autonomous learning method and Cooperative learning method. The aim is to make students active in class. Teaching aids:
