教学目标

1、通过图片展示，猜词游戏等活动，五分之四的学生能够识别并说出本课时的动物名称。

2、通过1b和2a的听力活动，三分之二的学生能够提取主要信息，正确完成听力任务。

3、通过pair work, group work等活动的完成，三分之一的学生能够运用目标语言谈论对动物的喜好及原因。

三、教学过程

Step 1 Warming up

Play a short video about the animals, then ask them what animals do you know. Step 2 Presentation

Show some pictures on the screen, let Ss learn the new words and expressions. Ss will pay attention the plural and single forms of the name of animals, as well as the description words about animals. 2.

Ask Ss to read the new words again and master them.

Guessing game about the names of animals.

Step 3 1a-1c 1a.

1. Look at the picture in 1a on page 25 please. Ask Ss to tell the animals they see in the pictures.

2. Ask Ss to match the words with the animals and check the answers.

3. Ask Ss to read the words. 1b:

1.Listen and check the aniamls you hear in 1a.

2. Check the answers with the class.

3. Ask Ss to read the conversation in pairs. 1c:

1. Make conversations about animals to talk about the animal you like and you want to see first. Step 4 2a-2c 2a: 1.Talk about where the animals come from. 2.

Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from. 3.

Check the answers.

2b: Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Then check the answer.

Step 5 Group work Do a survey in your group and fill in the chart, choose one student as a

reporter. Report what animals do your group member like? Why do they like

them and where are they from ? Step 6 Summary and Homework 1.
