语言知识目标：

1.识记并熟练运用下列单词和句型

单词：nose, mouth ,round, face ,eye, singer 句型：What does your favorite actor or actress look like?

He/She is tall. He/She has curly hair. He has a round face and a big nose. 2. 通过这一话题引导正确描述自己最喜爱的歌手、运动员等的外貌。

A: Hi, Jane! Who is your favorite singer/sports star? B:John Dean/ Tina Brown is. 语言能力：

1. 通过听力抓关键词blond hair, be of medium build, a round face等描述外貌的短语的策略渗透，学生能够较准确的获取听力材料的关键信息。

2.通过对本对话的话轮学习，学生能分角色对于彼此最喜欢的名人的外貌进行完整的对话。

情感态度价值观：

1.教育学生要多发现别人的优点，学会赞美别人，友好地描述别人的形象，懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。

2.能在小组活动中积极与他人合作，相互帮助，共同完成学习任务, 尽情享受学习的乐趣。

教学重点：

1.运用big, round, is, has, be of medium对人物的五官进行准确的描述。

2.对话的语言知识学习和话轮结构的理解。

教学难点：

1.听懂听力材料的信息，并能根据语音语调的不同和关键信息的捕捉，对不同人物的外貌描述，较为轻松地完成听力练习里的习题。

2.遵循对话的话轮结构，替换信息改变对话并展示

教学活动设计

Step 1 Greeting and Leading in Sing a song-They’re my teachers. Step 2 Warm-up

1.T ask students to describe their own looks to review the learned words and

structures:

A: I’m tall.

B: I’m short / tall / of medium height.

I’m thin.

Step 3 Pre-listening 1.T shows a picture of three persons , points to one of them and asks like this : T:What does his nose look like ?

S1 : His nose is big. T:What does his face look like ?

S2 : His face is round. 2.T shows pictures of Wu Xiubo,Johnny Dean,Tina Brown and tell them Bush has different looks. Can you describe their looks ? eg : He has long brown hair.

He has short straight hair.

He has curly hair.

Step 4

While-listening You will hear Maria and Danny talking about Tina Brown and Johnny Dean. 1.Your job is to write the job each person does.

Write about what your favorite musician, singer, actor, and sports star look like. T: Look at the persons. They are all famous stars. Look! This is Han Hong. She is my favorite pop singer. She’s of medium height and she’s heavy . She has short hair. She always wears glasses. She loves to sing. And she is a good singer. I like her.

What about you? Who is your favorite actor or actress? Please do a report. Step 5Describe and guess

T describes someone which all the Ss know, and let the Ss guess who he is ,if S1 fails at first, T gives out more information until they guess right, then Ss do this activity by themselves. S1:He is tall and has a round face.
