Review

The teacher ask the Ss: What animals do you like? And why do you like them? Find several students to answer the question. Step 2

Warm up

Let students look at the pictures and guess what the teacher’s favorite animal is. The teacher answers: “ I like elephants best because they are very smart” lead to the new lesson. Step 3

Presentation

1. Play a short video “ elephant culture in Thailand

”, let student learn something about elephants:

The elephant is the symbol of Thailand. The first flag had a white elephant on it. The white elephant is a symbol of good luck. At the same time, learn the new words and phrase: symbol, flag, a symbol of good luck.

2. Play a short video about elephant’s abilities, let the Ss find out what elephants can do.Present the sentences: They can dance. They can play soccer and basketball. They can also draw well. Later, show some pictures again, let students find out what else elephants can do. And then present another sentence: They can work for people, too.

3. Play a short video about the endangered animals. Tell students that the elephants are in great danger. Like them, many other animals are in great danger, too. And present the reasons why elephants are in great danger: People cut down many trees so they are losing their homes. People kill elephants for ivory. Many things are made of ivory. Teach some main words and expressions
