Teaching Procedures：

Step 1. Revision and Lead-in Show some pictures and ask questions: What are they doing? What's she/ he doing?

Students answer the teacher's questions to revise the present continuous tense.At the same time,show some new words about weather and teach Ss to read.

Step 2. Presentation 1.

The teacher says "If we want to know about the weather, how do we ask?" to present the target languages" How's the weather? =What's the weather like?" Then show some pictures to practice . 2.Show some weather signs. Then ask students "Do you know them? Please discuss and answer." 3.The teacher shows the weather words including n. and adj. Ask Ss to find out the rules. Step 3.work on 1a 1.

Ask one student to read the words. 2.

Ask students to match the words with the pictures. 3.

Chesk the answers. Step 4 .Pairwork Show some pictures of some cities with weather signs. Ask "How's the weather in ...? or What's the weather like in...?"Ss answer the teacher's questions and then ask and answer in groups , in pairs.

Step 5. Listening 1b. Listen and write these city names in the boxes above. (Before listening, show pictures of the five cities and teach the places. Get Ss to familiar with these places.）

Step 6. Groupwork Suppose you’re going for vacation, you’re your friends to ask the weather there. Students

listen to the teacher how to call and make conversations in groups. A: Hello! May I speak to …? B: This is …speaking.

A: What are you doing? B: I’m …. A: Thanks! Bye! B: Bye! Step 7. Weather report Show a map of Yunnan. Ask Ss to talk about the weather in some cities in Yunnan. Report: Good morning. Here is Yunnan weather report. It’s…in…/It’s…in…/…
