教学目标

1. 能掌握以下单词与词组：listen to the teacher, be on time, do your homework, be late for school, sorry. 2. 能掌握以下句型：

1) You must do your homework. 2) You must not be late for school. 3. 学习用must 表示要求或禁止做某事的用法。

4. 激发学生学习的学习兴趣，并培养学生的自主学习和与他人合作的精神。

5. 在情景创设中培养学生合作学习的能力。通过多种形式的游戏和活动，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

教学重难点

1. 能会读会写会说单词与词组：listen to the teacher, be on time, do your homework, be late for school, late, sorry. 2. 能掌握句型：

1) You must do your homework. 2) You must not be late for school. 3. must 表示要求或禁止做某事的用法。

教学过程

Step 1. Warm up

T: Good morning, everyone! Now is our English time. Do you come to school on time today?

S1: Yes, I do. S2: No. I am late for school. T: OK, you must come to school on time. Right, today we will learn Unit 5 You must come to school on time. First, let’s review the new words.

(教师打开多媒体，展示出图片，让学生根据相关图片，说出所对应的单词。)

Step 2. Present: T: Do you know our class rules? S: Yes. T: Can you tell me what it is? S1: Yes. You must listen to the teacher. (由此对话引出：You must listen to the teacher.并板书于黑板上。) T: Yeah, And? S2: You must be on time.

T: Good. And? S3: You mustn’t write on the desk. (由此对话引出：You mustn’t write on the desk.并板书于黑板上。) T: Yeah, that’s right. S4: You must clean the blackboard. T: Good. And I have some school rules here. Can you read them them loud? S: You mustn't use a cellphone. S: You must do your homework. S: You mustn't play near the street. 教师领读新句型，然后找学生读，同桌对话练习，直至学生熟练掌握。

T: Can you tell your partner the school rules and class rules again? S: Yeah. S1: You must…

S2: You mustn't…

教师总结新句型，并向学生进行解释。

Step 3. Pair work

引导学生展开Pair work活动，进行口语交际活动，学会理解运用You must…和You mustn't…两个句型。

e.g. T: S1, do you know the class rules? Can you tell me what you must do? S1: Yeah. I must listen to the teacher. And I must be on time. And I must clean the blackboard.

T: And what you mustn't do?

S1: I mustn't write on the desk. T: Can you practice with your partner? Tell him or her about the class rules and school rules. S: Yeah.

S1: We must…/ We mustn't…

Ⅳ. Role-play

1. Ask Ss to read the conversation in the book. Then answer the questions below: Did Li Xiao come to school on time yesterday? Did Li Xiao be late for school on Tuesday and Wednesday? What does the teacher tell to Li Xiao? Did Li Xiao do his homework on time? 2. 学生们回答上述问题。老师让几位同学回答上述问题，看学生们的掌握情况，应对话中学生们不明白的地方给予适当的解释。

3. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and repeat. Then let Ss work in pairs to practice reading the conversation. Then try to act it out.

4. Ask some pairs to come to the front and act out the conversation. See which group does best.

Ⅴ. Homework:

1. Remember the new words and expressions.

2. Role-play the conversation with a partner after class.
