Procedure

--ask the children to guess who will come to our class --put on the headdresses and say ‘hello’ to the children --tell them today they are going to meet a new family

Activity 1: Family members --show the back of the hand to the children and tell them they are fingers and they are a family --move the fingers one by one and make the self-introduction --the fingers’ say ‘hello’ to the children

Activity 2: TPR game --ask them to draw the faces on their fingers --call the family member’s name and indicate that the children should show the corresponding finger --call the family members and move the fingers together with the children --move the finger and say ‘hello’ to the children but make the ‘bad’ self-introduction to get the children to correct Activity 3: Reaction game --hide one finger and ask the children to find out which finger is missing --indicate the children to ask ‘where are you’

--after the children find out which one is missing, show the missing finger and say ‘how do you do’

--invite some pupils to come out and play the game

Activity 4: Sing the song --ask the children to listen to the song and enjoy it --ask them to move the corresponding finger when they hear the family member’s name

--ask the children to try to sing along --sing the song together --say goodbye to the family members and hide the fingers one by one
