Unit 5 Can I have a pet?

Period 1

一、教学目标:

1.

能听懂、会说、认读、会写新单词rabbit, pet, basket, hold;听得懂、会说、认读新单词cage, lovely. 2.

句型:能初步运用“Can I have a ...?”提出要求,并且能用“Yes, you can.”和“No, you can’t.”回答。

3.

向学生渗透珍惜时间的思想。

二、教学重点和难点

重点:能听懂、会说、认读新单词pet, basket, cage, hold, lovely。能听、说、读、写单词rabbit 和

shop。能用“Can I hold it?”来请求他人同意。

难点:句子“Sure.”中,sure的读音有一定难度。要正确理解句子“You may have a cage for it.”的含义。

三、教学准备

单词卡片,动物玩具,海绵宝宝、加菲猫、叮当猫的图片和实物图片,磁铁若干,多媒体等。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warming up

Greetings 2.

Let’s chant:

Cat cat a lazy cat;

Dog dog s lovely dog;

Bird bird a beautiful bird;

Monkey monkey a naughty monkey. Step 2 Presentation and drill 1.

Lead-in

T: I’d like to take you to an interesting place. Do you want to come with me? Can you guess where is it? Just listen.

Play the sound recording.

S: It’s a Pet Shop.

Show the card of Pet Shop, write the new word: pet. (3)

Read it with clapping hands. (4)

T: Yeah. Here’s a Pet Shop. What do you want to have? You can use: Can I have a pet? Yes, you can. / No, you can’t.

S: Can I have a ...? T: Can I have a rabbit? 2.

Teach rabbit. (1)

Do the actions group by group. T: Do you love the rabbit? I love the rabbit. It’s lovely.

Teach lovely with actions. T: Who can act lovely? (3)

Show the picture of the cat. T: What does the cat look like? S: It’s lovely/beautiful/cool/... T: Where’s the cat? It’s in a basket.

Read basket with passing the ball. (5)

T: Oh, how about this one? What’s this? It’s a cage. What’s in the cage?

Read cage with passing the ball. 3.

T: OK. This is my lovely rabbit. I can hold it. Can you hold it? (1)

Read hold with actions. (2)

Show the answer “Sure”.

T asks student one by one. ——Can you hold it? ——Sure. 4.

Consolidate the words and sentences. Rabbit rabbit It’s a lovely rabbit.

Step 3 Practice

Today Dongdong and his mother go to a Pet Shop, too. Let’s see what’s happened, OK? 1.

Create a situation: A: Peter, Can I have a rabbit? B:Yes, you can. /No, you can't. A:Can I have a basket/cage? B:Yes, you can. /No, you can't. A:Can I hold it? B:Sure. Show some words to help students: tiger,lion,panda,chick, duck,bird, cat,dog, frog, monkey... 2.

Discuss with your partners. 3.

Enjoy some pictures of people and animals and learn: Animals are our friends. We should love animals. 5.

本堂课我所讲的是Unit 5 Can I have a pet? Part A&B部分的教学,本课的教学重点是学习四个单词rabbit, pet, basket, hold以及运用句型Can I have a ...? Can I hold it? 来请求他人同意。难点是Sure的发音及正确理解句子“You may have a cage for it.”的含义。下面我就结合这节课我谈谈自己在本堂课上的一些优点和不足。

一、优点:

本堂课我遵循一个原则,始终把学生放在主体地位;层次清晰;开始的Duty report 让学生进行互动式交流,很好地锻炼了学生的能力,增强了说英语的气氛;评价方式是给三位孩子们熟悉喜欢的动画人物海绵宝宝、加菲猫、叮当猫添加美味的食物,符合五年级学生好玩的心理,有效地吸引住了孩子们的眼球;动物的声音导入很自然地将孩子们带入了Pet Shop, 引入新单词pet;Pass the ball游戏操练让孩子们学习的气氛一下子提得很高;Cat图片的引入回顾了旧知:What does the cat look like?这个句型,让孩子们不仅复习了旧知,还增加了本堂新课的乐趣;实物表演hold一词,让学生互相交换练习,生生互动效果很好;巩固单词一环节采用的是边读单词边造句的形式,既有效地巩固了单词,又对句型的运用起了很大的帮助效果;听力部分采用先看题再听听力的方式,让孩子们带着目的去听,题目简单,孩子兴趣和注意力一下子提上来了;情景创设环节师提供了一些语言支撑,让孩子们说的对话更丰富。

二、不足

本堂课在设计上还可更紧凑,呈现Can I have a ...?句型时略显生硬;给学生单个回答问题的机会还应增多;Make a conversation时可先提供一个情境,再编对话,并且师先示范一遍,效果会更好。

通过这次教研课的精心准备以及刘老师和各位英语老师的精彩点评,让我收获很多,我将在以后的教学中好好地继续沿用这些有效的教学方法,完善并改进不足之处。
