Language points

1.辨析too many, too much和

much too （1）too many意为“太多”，修饰可数名词复数。

e.g.: They have too many rules at school.他们学校有太多规章制度。

（2）too much意为“太多”，修饰不可数名词。

e.g.: The students have too much homework to do.学生们有太多家庭作业要做。

（3）much too意为“太”，修饰形容词或副词。

e.g.: He runs much too fast.他跑得太快了。

2.辨析either, too和

also

（1）too用于肯定句、疑问句句尾。

e.g.: Are you good at drawing, too?你也擅长画画吗？

（2）also用于肯定句、疑问句句中。

e.g. :He can also play the piano.他也会弹钢琴。

（3）either用于否定句句尾。

e.g.: I don’t know the teacher, either.我也不认识那个老师。

3.Parents and schools are sometimes strict, but remember, they make rules to help us.父母和学校有时是严格的，但是记住，他们制订规章制度是为了帮助我们。（教材第23页）

（1)strict形容词，意为“严格的；严厉的”，在句中作表语或定语。常用短语：be strict with sb.“对某人要求严格”。

e.g.: She is a strict teacher.她是一个严格的老师。

My parents are strict with me.我父母对我要求严格。

（2）remember此处用作及物动词，意为“记住；记起”。其反义词是forget，意为“忘记”。remember后可接名词、代词、动词的-ing形式或动词不定式作宾语，本句中remember后面的句子作其宾语。

e.g.: I can't remember his telephone number.我记不得他的电话号码了。

【辨析】remember to do sth.与remember doing sth. ①remember to do sth.“记得要做某事”，说明事情还没有做，其否定形式为“remember not to do sth.”。

e.g.: Remember to telephone me when you arrive there.当你到那里的时候，记着给我打电话。

②remember doing sth.“记得做过某事”，说明事情已经做过。

e.g.: I remember seeing her in the city.我记得在这个城市见过她。

4.We have to follow them.我们必须遵守它们。（教材第23页）

follow此处用作及物动词，意为“遵循；遵守”；follow the rules意为“遵守规则”。

e.g.: We should follow the traffic rules.我们应该遵守交通规则。

【拓展】follow作动词，意为“跟随”。

e.g.: Monday follows Sunday. 星期一在星期日之后。

You go first and I'll follow (you) later.你先走，我随后就来。

【注意】follow表达的“跟随”这一概念本身含有“在……后”之意，其后不用加behind。

e.g.:我跟他去了火车站。

(误)I followed behind him to the railway station. (正)I followed him to the railway station. 5.I never have fun.我过得从来都不快乐。（教材第24页）

have fun意为“玩得开心；过得愉快”，与have a good time同义。have fun doing sth.意为“做某事很开心”。

e.g.: I 'm sure you will have fun at the party.我相信你会在聚会上玩得很开心。

It's time to have fun.到该玩的时候了。

We have fun learning English.我们学英语很开心。
