Cats and dogs 教学设计
一、教学内容
本节课的教学内容是外研版版小学英语第八册的一则课后阅读。
二、教学目标
1、能够听说、理解并复述小故事。
2、培养学生具有朋友之间的团结协助意识。
三、学情分析
五年级的孩子绝大部分已有一定的英语基础,活泼好动,勇敢积极。他们爱表现自己,对英语学习也很感兴趣,已经了解了基本的学习方法,并具备了一些基本的听、说、读、写的能力。在课堂上他们喜欢小组合作,增强了同学之间的合作意识。
三、教学重点:
听、说、认读单词magic wand 和thief两个单词。
四、教学难点:
听说并理解小故事。
五、教具准备
自制PPT、生词卡片、图片。
六、教学过程
Step 1、Warm-up( Revision ) Hello, everyone. Nice to meet you. Now today I’m your new teacher, in this lesson, we’ll talk about a story, it’s a story about animals. Now I’ll ask you a question. Q: What animas do you know? Ss: Tiger, elephant, monkey, cat, dog,duck……
Now look, today we’ll talk about
Cats and dogs. Let’s write the tittle together. (设计意图:通过复习认识的动物,引入本节课的主要内容。)
Step 2、Read the story. Look at the picture ,ask the students guess a question. Q: Does the dog like the cat in this story? Yes or No? Order the pictures and read this story.(排顺序并阅读故事)
(设计意图:通过凌乱的图片让学生动手操练排列顺序,让学生先整体感知故事的大致内容。)
Step 3、Learn the story.
1、Let’s read the story. Look, this is an old man(出示老人的图片并贴在黑板上)。Then look at his hand, what’s in his hand? It’s a magic wand(出示魔法棒并贴在黑板上)。This old man has a cat and a dog(出示猫和狗的图片并贴在黑板上)。
2、Look at this picture, what can you see? Yes ,it’s a thief(学生跟读生词并出示小偷的图片贴在黑板)。
3、What is the thief doing? Look. (观看第一段视频) Ss: He is taking the magic wand. 4、The cat and the dog said:“Let’s get the wand.” Q:Who get the wand at last?(谁最后拿到了魔法棒)
The cat and the dog.(Guess) 5、Look at a picture, the answer is “The cat”. Q:The cat comes home faster than the dog. How does the cat go home quickly? A. The cat runs back home.
B. The cat walks back home. C. The cat flies back home. 6、Now let’s have a look .(观看第二段视频) The answer is C. 7、The old is very happy, he talked to the cat:“You are good.The dog is bad. ”
A long time later, the dog comes home, the old man is very angry, he said to the dog: “Go away dog, you didn’t help me.”The dog is very sad. 8、And that’s Why dogs don’t like cats.
(设计意图:在学每一幅图之前都会设计一个相关问题,引导学生去猜想,从而吸引学生的兴趣,最后再观看相关视频,揭示正确答案。)
Step 4、Group work.
Read the whole story and act this story. Six students make a group. (设计意图:学生通过扮演角色,感知整个故事。)
Step 5、Retell the story. This is the magic wand, it can magic everythings. Look,it magic “The cat has got fish .
The dog has got meat.
Thief has got gold.
The cat can fly.”
Now I have a magic wand,too. I can magic a hamburger.Look. It’s a story hamburger.This is the beginning,the middle,and
the ending.Please read these three passages together.Then fill in the blanks. (1)An old man has got a cat, a dog and a magic wand. A thief takes the wand. (2)The cat and the dog go after the thief. The cat gets the wand and flies back. The dog walks home.
(3)The old man says “ The cat is good .The dog is bad .”And that’s why dogs don’t like cats. (设计意图:先出示魔法棒在本故事里的作用,引出一个故事汉堡包,分别从开头,中间和结尾,去复述整个故事。)
Step 6、Look the whole story. (设计意图:观看整个故事的视频,再次熟悉故事的每个细节。)
Step 7、Today we learn this story Q:Do you like the dog or the cat now?
Ss: The dog. T: Please remember:
Friends should : work together, help together, share together. (设计意图:再次看图片,猫在狗的帮助下得到了魔法棒,并飞回家里交给老人,得到了老人的信任,而等狗回到家里,老人则把狗撵出家门,让学生选出故事里最喜欢的动物。从而感情升华到朋友之间应
该一起工作,一起帮助,一起分享。)
Step8 、知识拓展。

Step 9、Homework. Retell the story to your parents. (设计意图:向父母复述这则小故事。)
