一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：dry, cold, hot, warm, visit, Canada, summer

2) 能掌握以下句型：

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

二、教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1) 继续学习有关天气的词汇，运用所学的词汇来描述天气。

2) 描述在不同的天气情况中人们正在做的事情。

3) 听力训练，提高获取相关信息的能力。

1) 进行听力训练，培养学生们的听说能力。

2) 阅读短文，提高学生们的朗读能力。

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Revision Sing a song

Have a dictation. Check the answers: 1.rain

Talk about the weather.

Ⅱ. Presentation.

1.Show some pictures on the big screen. Present the new words.

dry, cold, hot, warm …

2. Ss learn the new words and expressions and try to understand the expressions.

3. Give Ss some time and try to remember the new words and expressions.

Ⅲ. Matching

1. Read the words in the box in 1a. Then look at the pictures. Match the words with the pictures.

1. Read the chart in 1c.

3. Play the recording twice. The first time Ss only listen. For the second Ss listen and write down the words in the blanks.

VIII. Language points

1. I’m having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.

have a great time doing sth.

意为“做某事过得愉快”。

have a great/nice/good time = have fun doing = enjoy oneself doing

e.g. We have a great time singing and dancing.

我们唱歌、跳舞过得很愉快。

2. How’s it going?

情况怎么样？

How’s …? 句型在问候语中用来询问对方的情况。

答语常为：Great. / Pretty good. /Not bad.等。

e.g. 你的学习情况如何？

表达问候还可以用

How are you? 进行询问，答语常为“Fine, thank you.”。

这两句话的重点不在于询问，而在于问

候或打招呼。
