Unit 5 I’m watching TV. Section B(2a-Selfcheck)

一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词及短语：newspaper, soup, house ,drink ,tea, tomorrow, pool, mall, manstudy, living room ,use, wash, drink，read a newspaper ，read books ，in the library ，listen to a CD ，watch TV ，in a pool ，in the first photo ，at home ，a picture of my family

2) 能掌握以下句型：

I am reading a book.

②

I am not writing.

③

--Is he reading ?

--Yes, he is./No, he isn’t.

2. 学会正确使用现在进行时和一般现在时。

3. 情感态度价值观目标：

One who is filled with knowledge always behaves with elegance.

二、教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1)现在进行时各种句式变化形式。

2) 一般现在时各种句式变化形式。

3) 一般现在时与现在进行时时间状语标志。

4) 能用所学知识写出精美文章。

2. 教学难点：

掌握两种时态的正确用法，并能听懂、会说一些简单的句子。

三、教学过程

ⅠTeaching steps （教学步骤）

1. Warm-up and revision（课堂热身和复习）

Check Ss’ words and phrases .

Teach Ss how to use present progressive tense. 【教学设计说明】通过复习与学习为完成2a做好铺垫。

2. Work on 2a Look at the clocks and ask your partner about the time in different places.

【教学设计说明】通过学习帮助学生认识到世界各地的不同。

2. Presentation （呈现新知识）

(1) Work on 2b. Read the TV report and answer the questions. Q1. Why are Zhu Hui’s family watching boat races and making zongzi? Q2. Does Zhu Hui like his host family? What does he think about his home in China?

(2) Work on 2c. Match the verbs in column A with the words in Column B. Then use the phrases to write sentences according to the TV report. 【教学设计说明】阅读文章应先略读在细读。因此第一个问题的设置要求学生略读找到关键词语进行推测。接下来的4个问题能够帮助学生对文章有整体理解。2c的设计能够帮助学生更好的理解文章，读懂细节。

3. Work on 3a Complete Jim’s letter. 【教学设计说明】本部分旨在帮助学生学会用正确的语言进行写作，并帮助学生积累语言。为完成本单元的写作部分进行铺垫。

4. Work on 3b & Self Check Have Ss bring or draw some photos of their family or friends and write a short passage about them. Help Ss to finish the compositions.

【教学设计说明】由于在前面课时已经进行了小型的写作，因此本环节将3b与Self Check进行整合，合并为一篇描写好朋友的文章。在写作之前帮助学生建造文章结构，并积累语言。

4. Homework

(1) Recite the text in Section B, 3a. （2）Finish your composition. (3) Complete Self Check.
