Where did you go on vacation? Section A (1a-1c)

学情分析：

八年级的学生学习思维能力发展较快,自我意识增强,在情感方面能进行自我教育。好奇心强,喜欢探索新鲜的事物,喜欢动手参与,也喜欢竞赛。经过一年的新课程理念的熏陶及实践,有了初步的自主、合作、探究、实践的能力。因此我将此课设计为活动课,并引入竞争机制,满足学生学习需要,同时利用预习指导既培养了学生的学习策略,也降低了学习难度,为新课的顺利开展打下伏笔。

【知识目标】

【能力目标】

能用目标语言谈论过去发生的事件。

【情感目标】

通过听力训练、角色扮演等方式,学会与他人分享经历,并提高学生的英语听说能力。

教学重难点：

教学重点：

1) 用所学的功能语言交流假期去了什么地方旅行。

2) 掌握本课时出现的新词汇。

教学难点：

教学过程：

Ⅰ. Lead-in

1. 看视频来进入本课时的主题谈论上假期做了些什么事情，谈论过去发生的事情。

Ⅱ. presentation 1. Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss read the expressions.

2. Focus attention on the picture.

Ask: What can you see?

Say: Each picture shows something a person did in the past. Name each activity and ask students to repeat:

stayed at home, went to mountains, went to New York City

went to the beach, visited my uncle, visited museums,

went to summer camp

3.Write down the past forms of some verbs. III . pattern drill 1.

Point out the sample conversation. Ask two groups to read the

conversation to the class.

Ⅳ. Listening

Listen and number the people in the picture(1-5) 1.

Play the recording. 2.

Cheak the answers. Ⅴ. Pair work and group work. Now work with a partner. Make your own conversation .

1. Ss work in pairs. As they talk, move around the classroom and give any help they need.

2. Let some pairs act out their conversations.

3.Let students communicate with their groups and make a roport about themselves,then act it out. Homework:

用英语询问你的一位好朋友，她（他）假期去了哪里？看到了什么？并将此对话写在作业上。
