What does he look like? Section B 1 (1a-1e) 一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：blonde, mouth, round, face, eye, singer,

2) 能掌握描述人物相貌的句型。

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

帮助学生正确表述人物的相貌，并设计自己的样子。

二、教学重难点

正确、熟练地描述人物相貌。

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision 1.T:Ss say the words describing the people as many as possible？

Ss:say the words and phrases such as:tall,short,thin,heavy,long hair,short hair... 2.Then ask Ss to describe the two Ss(show pictures)

设计说明：复习SectionA的单词、短语来描述人的外貌。为本节课的学习做准备。

Ⅱ. Presentation

1.Words learning (Show some pictures on the big screen, and present the new words and expressions in this period)

2. Work on 1a: Match the words with the pictures. 3. Work on 1b:Read and write these name of great people .

设计说明：单词教学我首先让学生看图学习，更直观，然后学生对较难的单词，进行造句和对比记忆。设计了一个单词竞赛，激发学生记忆单词的兴趣。

Ⅲ.Listening practice

Work on 1c and 1d You will hear Maria and Danny talking about Tina Brown and Johnny Dean. 1. Your job is to write the job each person does. Point to the heading "Job" on the chart. Listen again and check the answers. 2. This time your job is to write what each person looks like. Point to the heading

"looks like".

3. Listen a third time to understand the key words. 设计说明：用表格式呈现听力内容,便于学生对比记忆和填写,学生在听力过程中紧紧抓住重点内容,进行快速地提取听力内容,完成听力任务。

Ⅳ. Retelling

1. Retell the two great people in1c and 1d .Use the word and phrases to discribe them. 2. Fill in the blanks and check each other. 设计说明:用所给的信息复述1c和1c中的两位明星，这个设计难度不大，因此中等生也容易完成任务，接下来还有个巩固性的填空练习，提升学生总结分析能力。

Ⅴ. Talking

Discribe Ss’ favorite singer and athlete.One of Ss in each group talking in front of the class. 设计说明:此环节是为了让学生学会如何描述一个他喜欢的人。运用所学过的单词和短语进行口语表演。

生能主动练习说，气氛很热烈。

Ⅶ.Exercise. Give Ss five minutes to write on the paper.Ss walk around the class to help them. 设计说明：通过设计两种题型的练习，巩固本节课的重点，突破难点。
