一、学习目标

1. 学习描述人物外貌的词汇： curly, straight, short, long, tall ,medium, height, thin ,heavy, build, （be）of medium height, 2、学习描述外貌的句型--What does he/she look like? -- He/She is…

--He/she has…. 二、学习重点

学会表述描述他人体貌基本特征的词汇，能听懂有关描述他人外貌的对话。

三、学习难点

学会简单描述他人身高，身材及发型，学会用特殊疑问句来询问他人的外表。

四、教学过程

Step 1: Warming up and lead in

The teacher shows a picture of herself with a question-Can you use some words to describe me? In this way, the teacher leads students to use learned words of phrases to describe her appearance.

Step 2: Presentation The teacher shows students six groups of pictures with different features. And the teacher leads to teach students the key words and sentence patterns in this section. Key words: straight、curly、blonde、of medium height、thin、heavy、of medium build Sentence patterns: what does he/she look like? He/She has…/is…. 。

Step3.work on 1a Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a) 学习课本的第一部分P49,1a先看图片，然后搭配图片和相关的外貌特征的词

T: Now please look at P49, Use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once.

Step4. Listening (1d) 1. Look at the picture of 1a, listen and fill the blanks in the picture. (1b) T: Listen carefully and fill in the blanks and find Amy’s friend? listen and fill in the blanks．And say the look of Amy’s friend．( He's really tall．And he has curly hair.) Step5.Sharp eyes The teacher shows students four groups of pictures, T:Let’s see who has sharp eyes. What does he/she look like? the students are able to use the sentence “He/She is…He/she has…” to answer the question.

Step 6: Pair work T: look at the stars in the pictures, describe them with your partner first, then ask and answer in front of the classmates Step 7 Do some exercises.(课堂测评）
