二、教学过程

Step 1. Warm up T: Good morning, everyone! S: Good morning, teacher! T: Today, we will learn about our city. S: OK!

T: I have many photos of our city here. Can you tell me what they are when I show them to you? S: Yeah. (教师打开多媒体，展示出图片，让学生根据相关图片，说出所对应的单词。) Step 2. Present: T: What’s in the city? (老师出示一张医院的图片) S: This is a hospital. T: Do you know who works here? S1: Doctors! T: Great! And? S2: Nurses!

T: Great! This is a hospital. Doctors and nurses work here. 出示单词hospital, nurse教读并板书与黑板上。 引出句型：

“This is a hospital. Doctors and nurses work here.”

老师教读并板书于黑板上。

老师出示工厂的图片 T: What’s that? S2: That is a factory. T: Good. Who work here? S3: Many workers work here. T: This is a factory. Workers work here. 出示单词factory并板书于黑板上。

老师出示办公楼的图片 T: Is this an office building? S: Yes, it is. 引出句型“Is this…? Yes, it is.”

教读并板书于黑板上。 T: Good. This is an office building. Many people work here. 老师继续出示电视塔的图片 T: Is this an office building, too? S: No, it isn’t. This is a TV tower. 引出句型“Is this…? No, it isn’t.”

教读并板书于黑板上。 T: Yeah. And this is a cinema. (老师出示电影院的图片) T: Is this a bank? (老师出示银行的图片) S: Yes, it is. T: Yeah. All right, and this? (老师出示旅馆的图片) S: This is a hotel. 出示单词a TV tower, cinema, bank, hotel教读并板书于黑板上。 教师领读新句型，然后找学生读，同桌对话练习读，直至学生熟练掌握。 T: Can you show your partner these pictures and tell them what they are? S: Yeah. S2: Is this… 教师总结新句型，并向学生进行解释。 Step 3. Pair work 引导学生展开Pair work活动，进行口语交际活动，学会理解运用this is…和is this…两个句型。 T: S1, is this a factory? Can you tell me who works here? S1: Yes, it is. Many workers work here. T: Can you tell your partner again? S1: Yeah. This is a factory. Many workers work here. T: Can you practice with your partner? S: Yeah. S1: This is… S2: Is this… Step 4. Role-play 1. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and repeat. Then let Ss work in pairs to practice reading the conversation. Then try to act it out. 2. Ask some pairs to come to the front and act out the conversation. See which group does best.
