Unit 10 what does that sign mean ? Period one 1,Teaching Contents : part A & part B & part C 2, Teaching Aims:
Let students know and understand the new words --sign,mean,talk,fish,pick,smoke,spit.
And let them know and try to say the phrases-- Do not... ,mobile phone,staff only.
Let students learn to use“what does that sign mean ?”“It means ... /The sign means ... .”to ask and answer.

Learn to distinguish signs mean and finish part C .
Understand the new words:sign,mean,talk,fish,pick,smoke,spit,park and some new phrases:Do not ... .mobile phone , staff only .
Understand and use the sentence pattern:what does that sign mean? T : Now can you guess the mean of these signs as the same way .(以此类推,在过程中采取适当的鼓励机制)
T:You are did a good job. But you are say it in Chinese. So today let’s learn to say the mean of the signs in English . T: Now , please turn to page 69 ,look at the new words of unit 10.(带读单词两遍,然后叫学生代表读)
Let’s say it: Then show some pictures of many signs to lead students learning new phrases---Do not... , mobile phone ,staff only .Pay attentions to the new word in the phrases and explained it .(板书新词组并带读两遍,然后叫同学带读两遍)

T :If we know what does the sign mean we can answer “It
means.../The sign means ...”(板书其句型并带读)
Step 5 : Listen and Read Let's listen to the audio,then teacher ask students to translate the sentences . T:OK, today we will learn the unit 10 what does that sign mean . Now please turn to page 49 and look at part A.Let's listen. T: Follow me ....(带读课文)
Then Asked students translate the text. T: Now who can translate the text ? T :Who can lead to read now ? S:Follow me ...(叫学生带读一遍)
Step 6 : Practice Let students practice the sentence pattern, One ask and one answer.(具体形式依据part C的句型)And then let them finish the exercises in part C ,after a while checking together. T: Now ,please match the pictures for the phrases .(重点讲解一下park的两个意思)
Step 7: Act Asked st dents to act the people in part A to have conversations . T: Finally, let 's Act . Boys are Mingming ,girls are Lingling . Ready go . Then read it together . Step 8 : Homework:

Step 4:Show and guess Let students show their picture for their signs and others guess its mean in English . T:Last time i have asked you to finish Part F .Now ,who want to show your pictures for others? Who want to try ?(让学生们展示他们的画并让其他的同学猜他画的标志的意思)
S: What does that sign mean ? Step 5:Let’s write 同学们展示完就可以引出Dino也画了一些signs,让我们一起来猜猜这些都是什么意思
T:Ok ,you did a good job.Dino also draws some signs ,i believe you can guess them right. Let’s finish part E and then i will ask four students come here to write his answer on the blackboard.(叫四个学生在黑板上写上他们的答案)
