一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：curly, straight, tall, medium, thin, heavy, build,height.

能掌握以下句型：

—What does he look like? —He’s of medium build/height. —What does he look like?

—She has long straight/curly hair. —Is he tall or short？

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象。

二、教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

掌握单词，熟练掌握提问关于人物形象的句型,能正确运用be,has来描述人物外貌来应答。

2. 教学难点：

掌握描述人的形象的问和应答句型。

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Lead-in 1. Watch a video about describing people’s looks,and answer some questions: 1. What’s the policeman doing ?He is asking the woman about her lost car. 2. What’s the woman doing? She is describing the criminal’s look? 3. Can you describe the people’s look? Have a try.

Ⅱ. Presentation (Section A 1a) 1Introduce new words by ppt.

※Height: short/tall/ of medium height

※Practice saying the new words above by describing our real students’

height in different groups. ※Repeat with build,thin, heavy, of medium build

※Build:thin/heavy/of medium build ※Repeat with long/short hair,curly/straight hair ※Hair:long/short hair, curly/straight hair ※Introduce how to describe people’s hair about length,shape and colors: Length+shape+color+hair 2Introduce: how to use is or has to describe people’s look by ppt.

※Introduce when to use is or has by the pictures on ppt.

※Introduce the task.

※Get the kids to practice reading the new words.

5 Play a guessing games

※Show some medium film or sports stars covered by ppt,let students guess three stars’looks.They are Zhang Jie,Xie Na,Yi Jiannian. 6 Come to 1c Pair work ※Give an exmple: A:What does he look like? B:He is tall. C:He is heavy D:He has short straight black hair. ※Get the students to work in pairs to describe their students’look. 7 Finish 3a,3b Homework 1.

教学反思：这节课的教学设计基于学生基础薄弱，能力不太高的情况而设计的。内容相对集中，训练形式多样，形式尽量直观，贴近学生生活，采用了较多本班学生的照片进行构思。这节课的教学，让学生感觉兴趣盎然，很好地达到了教育教学目的。
