三、教学过程

1. Preview work

Ss write the words on the shit. 2. Lead in

T: I’m new here. I got a cold. I want to go to the hospital. But I don’t know where it is. Can you help me to find it? Ss: I can. T: Thank you. You must pass 3 tasks to help me.

3. Task1 To know the places and the streets.

T ask one group to show their words card. And teaches the words.

Then play a game.

T: Is there a hospital near here?

Ss: Yes, it’s here.(stand up with their cards) 4. Tasks2 To describe the places

T teaches the preposition of place. Ss make sentences with them and write them down.

T teaches the preposition of place in the order of on, next to, across from, in front of, behind, between…and…

Every time, T always asks some Ss to set examples and asks some of them to repeat what teacher says.

Then they work in group to practice and write down the sentences.

Last, T asks some Ss to describe the potion. 5. Task3 Role-play

T: This time, can you tell me where the hospital is?

Ss: Yes.

T points at a hospital and asks: Where is the hospital?

The hospital is on Long Street. It’s next to the hotel. It’s across from the park. It’s in front of the zoo. It’s behind the library. It’s between the school and the pay phone.

Ss work in group to ask and answer. 6. Summary

T asks Ss to tell what they have learnt in this class.
