I、教材分析

本节课是人教版八年级英语上第五单元Do you want to watch a game

show？Section A 1 (1a-1c)的第一课时。本节课的核心语言项目是“talk about preferences”,围绕电视节目和文化开展教学活动。学生要学会谈论喜好的动词和动词短语及动词不定式的基本句型；学会用这些内容询问他人的喜好和谈论自己的喜好。

II、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标

1) 学习以下单词sitcom, news, soap, mind, stand, action 2)学习电视节目的短语：game show , talk show, talent show, sports show, soap opera , sitcom , news. 3)能熟练运用句型询问他人喜好和谈论自己的喜好：

What do you think of …?

I love / like them. I don’t like /don’t mind them.

I can’t stand them.

2. 情感态度价值观目标：

学会谈论流行文化，了解各类电视和电视节目的名称和自己的喜欢。注意引导学生们形成正确的文化观念，大力培养学生们的跨文化意义，形成自己独立的个性。

3.学习策略：通过比赛激发学生学习英语的兴趣和参与课堂活动的积极性。

二、教学重难点

1. 学习各类电视和电视节目的名称。

2. 询问他人喜好和谈论自己的喜好：

What do you think of …?

I love / like them. I don’t like /don’t mind them. I can’t stand them.

III.教学方法

情景教学法，多媒体辅助教学法，合作学习法，小组竞赛法。通过多媒体、动作以及图片等创设富有生活气息的语言情境，让学生“在玩中学，在学中玩”，真正做到寓教于乐。

IV.教学过程

Step1. Leading in T: What do you usually do on weekends? Ss: I often do my homework/do sports/do some washing/ read books? T: Do you like watching TV? Ss: Yes, I do./No, I don’t. T: Do you know the names of the TV shows?

Then show them some pictures, and make them guess the names of the TV shows. T: OK. Let’s go to watch some TV shows.

Show the pictures to the class and learn the names of TV shows and say with the teacher a few times. Step2. Presentation 1. Brainstorm. Show the pictures to the students and the students say out the words as quickly as possible. （说对一个得一分，说错一个扣一分）

2. Match T: Do you like watch TV? What kind of TV programs do you know? 学生们根据图片提示，

用多媒体，使更直接。学习各类电视节目并且练习运用Which one do you like best? 形容词、副词的最高级。

3. New words Learn the names of the TV shows. 让大部分学生能说出电视节目名称。再谈谈自己喜欢的。

以上两个步骤可以交替，让学生更好地掌握单词和句型。

Step3.

1a 1. 引导学生们看1a中的图片，根据提示依次说出每一部TV Show的名称。

2. 让学生们看图片及1a中的词汇，将图片与正确的词汇相连。

3. Check the answers with the Ss.

Step4.

Listening 1. T: Tell Ss to read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the shows1-4. 3. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss. Step5.

Discuss What do you think of a game show? 同义句：How do you like a game show? 学会用love ，

like ，

don’t mind ，don’t like，

can’t stand

Step6.

Pair work 1. Let Ss look at the pictures in the box. Then explain the meaning of each expression to the Ss. 2. Let Ss read the conversation after the teacher. Then let Ss make their own conversation using the shows and expressions in the box. 3. Let some pairs ask and answer about the shows. Step7. Competition Choose (选择) a number that you like, and try to finish the tasks. The scores are different. Step8.

Homework Write about your family members’ opinions about TV shows .
