教材分析

本单元主要围绕谈论动物和表达喜好这一话题展开各种教学活动，引出why- 引导的特殊疑问句的问与答以及部分形容词的用法从而表达喜好。本课是本单元中的第一课时，通过描述动物、谈论喜好来引出本单元内容，如what，why等引导的特殊疑问句，所以本课是本单元的引路者，作用非常重要。

学情分析

本单元的教学为七年级下期内容，学生已通过半年的初中英语学习，理应对初中英语学习的要求基本明白，并已基本适应初中英语学习，具备一定英语学习的基本技能，初步掌握一些英语基础知识，学生除了要完成本单元课时的基本知识上的教学任务以外，教师更需要对学生的思想状态，情感态度进行正面引导。因此，本课时首先谈论各种常见的动物，然后让学生学会表达自己对动物的喜好，培养学生热爱自然，保护动物的意识。从而最终实现本课时的教学目标。

【学习目标】

1) 能识记以下单词： animal koala interesting lion scary elephant friendly giraffe panda kind kind of cute

能识记以下句型：

① —Let’s see the pandas.

② —Why do you like pandas ?

③ —Because they’re cute. 2) 能识记以下语法：why,where引导的特殊疑问句的用法 3）该部分内容通过对动物的描述，培养学生热爱自然，保护动物的意识。

教学重点：

表示动物的名词以及描述动物特征的形容词。

教学难点：

学生能正确使用Why do you like ......Because they’re ......目标语言谈论动物及喜欢某种动物的原因。

Step 1 Leading-in and warming-up 引入与激趣活动

Greet with Ss and play the song “Old Macdonald had a farm”, students listen . Ask“We can hear many animals on Macdonald’s Farm. What are they?”

Step 2 New points input 新知输入(贴标签) （1） Language presentation After listening the song “Old Macdonald had a farm ”Ask the students “Where can we see more animals?”Then students answer “zoo”. Then lead the topic to talk about animals. Show pictures, ask “what are they?”Then students answer “koala”

Then ask the students “What do you think of koalas?”

Then answer the question “interesting”. （2） Activity 1a 1 Students finish the word match in 1a, then practice in pairs，pay attention to animals. 2 Guessing game: Show pictures by covering most parts of them , get the students to guess “What’s the animals?” The answers are: elephant panda and so on . Pair work:Let’s see the pandas.They are my favorite animals.Why? Because they are very cute. Step 3 Listening practice 听力训练 （1 ） Activity 1b 1 Pre-listening. Show pictures, elicit the Ss to talk about different animals, pay attention to all kinds of animals. T plays the recording for the first time. 2 While-listening.Answer the questions and Check the answers 3 Post-listening .Read the listening materials after the recording. Show key chunks and topic sentences , get the Ss to practice in pairs. （2 ） Activity 2a, 2b 2a and 2b provides listening practice using the target language. 1 Pre-listening. T can organize Ss to read the picture and sentences, ask the Ss to make similar dialogues with the chunks given. 2

While-listening. T can give Ss the opportunities to show their answers.The answers to 2a: pandas koalas lion The answers to 2b: pandas kind of China. If Ss give some incorrect answers, T can play the recording again. 3 Post-listening. As a post-listening task, T can ask Ss to read the

1. Let’s see the pandas first. 让我们先去看熊猫吧。let’s 这里是表示提出建议，一起干某事，Let’s+动词原形+其他.。

2. Why do you want to see them? 为什么你想去看它们？why引导的特殊疑问句用来询问原因。

3. Because they’re kind of interesting. 因为它们有点儿有趣。because引导原因状语从句，用来解释原因。

4 Where are they from? 它们来自哪里？此句用来询问人/物来自于哪里，回答时用句型 sb./sth. am/are/is/come/comes from…。
