Teaching procedures:

Show a video of Traveling around the world and sing together 2.

Lead in--- ing Step 2 Presentation-words and phrases 1.T: Welcome to our magic school, today we’re having a magic class, many things here are magic because they can move, look, these magic verbs are moving right now! Present the words(verbs come first, then nouns) and verb phrases one by one 2.Ss observe the verbs and conclude the rules of the present participle 3.Magic verb phrases competition

Step 3 Presentation-sentence What are you doing?

1.The teacher plays some magic tricks, lead the Ss to ask: --What are you doing? --I’m playing magic tricks. 2.Show some GIFs , ask and answer by using the sentences above. 3.Magic cards game: There are 8 magic cards on the screen, Ss can choose anyone of them, and it will become a GIF, they ask and answer about the GIF by using the sentences: --What are you doing? --I’m v+ing Then, they practice the game in small groups. Step 4 Presentation-sentence What is he/she doing? 1.
