学情分析:
学生在四年级上册十一单元学会了用Where’s the …? …It’s in/on/under/…来用英语询问、问答并介绍方位场所,并在四年级上册第三单元接触了There are…句型. 所以There’s something prep. Somewhere. 句型应该不是太难,但是区分There’s … . \Is there…? 的句型变化及用途是本课的重点和难点。本课中的cinema,park, shop, library, road,restaurant等地点词汇在四年级和五年级都有学到过,从已学知识引入到本课新授知识:post office, hotel, bank, shopping centre, street 应该是学生增长知识拓宽视野的话题,也能提高学生的兴趣。学会用There’s…及方位词谈论周围的场所位置关系,并用Is there…?句型问答以达到平时生活中问路交流的目的,学以致用才是语言学习的终极目标。

通过游戏的方式,了解、体验借助场所对应某位置进行句型操练的方法学习英语。
5.能借助图片理解、会读拓展阅读材料Part D 的内容,感受阅读的乐趣。并在阅读理解的基础上完成下面的看图填空题和判断题。在阅读训练中,逐步了解和掌握一些阅读技巧,如怎样分析课文并提取主要信息。并能运用图片和文字进行综合语言运用能力的训练——自编或复述语篇重要内容。在文本教学中渗透情感教育,陶冶学生的爱国爱家情操。

本课设计有三个亮点,一是通过创设情境让学生利用湘潭的地标来学习新单词,课本知识与实践相结合,并且使课程教学更完整。
二是课程中穿插了学生感兴趣的公园,动物园等场景,并利用这些场景来学习单词和句型,进行师生互动,生生互动,调动了学生了积极性。
三是拓展部分增加了世界上著名建筑及街道的了解及认识,拓宽了学生的视野。
单词的教授部分还应更多的结合方位词进行操练,并且在教学过程中注意运用过度语言将各教学环节有逻辑的连接起来。
