2). Present progressive tense 能力目标：将如何描述天气和现在进行时灵活适时地运用到日常学习和生活中去。

情感目标：教育学生善于观察天气，善于描述周围的事物，正确看待自然现象，不要被坏天气左右心情。在趣味话题的激励下，诱导学生积极参与，充分调动他们的学习兴趣，并注重培养学生的合作竞争能力和自主探究学习的能力。

Teaching important points : 1)How’s the weather? /What’s the weather like ? It’s raining.

2)Master present progressive tense

Teaching steps: Step 1: Warming up and Lead-in 1). Greeting the whole class and revision. 2). Learn to new words and remember all words one by one 3). Lead into new lesson: use present progressive tense . --What are you doing? --I’m playing basketball.

--What’s she /he doing ?

--she/he is writing/swimming…

Step2: Presentation 1. Present the new words by pictures. 2.看1a的图画：Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures then check the answers. 3. Match work1a and listening 1b:Ask Ss to match each word or phrase with one of the pictures quickly. Then check the answer. (a–b–e–c–d) 4. Note: Talking about the weather is quite common in western countries as a daily greeting. 5.Present the structures: —How’s the weather? / What’s the weather like?

—It’s cloudy/windy…

—How’s the weather in Beijing?/ What’s the weather like in Beijing? --It’s snowing.

Step3:Practice 1.Practice these words and sentences by pictures. 2.Show a weather map of China. Get Ss to make a weather report as a CCTV reporter. They may begin with asking the weather in each city, then make up a report about it.. 3.Ask three or four groups to practice their dialogue .

Step4;Summary Master sentences structures: 1)—How’s the weather? / What’s the weather like?
