I. Teaching Aims:
1. Knowledge Objectives:①Ss can understand the new words:pet, rabbit, basket, cage, hold.② Ss can use the sentences fluently: Can I have a …? Yes, you can. /No, you can’t.
2. Competence Objectives:Be able to ask and answer with “Can I have a …? Yes, you can. /No, you can’t.”
II .Teaching Key Points and Difficulties:
1. Key words: pet, rabbit, basket, cage, hold. Target language: Ss can ask and answer with “Can I have a …? Yes, you can. /No, you can’t.”
2. Difficulties:Ss can use “Can I hold it ?” to ask others to agree. III .Teaching Aids:
Word cards, animal toys and multi-media. IV .Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Warming up and lead in (1′30″) 1.
Greetings. 2.
Sing an English song: Bingo! Step 2 Presentation (16′ ) 1.
Quick Response: Play some voice of animals, get the Ss to guess
the names of the animals to review the words: pig, tiger, cat, dog, bird.

Show some pictures to teach the new words: pet, rabbit, basket, cage, hold. And the new expressions: Can I have a pet? Yes, you can. / No, you can’t.

Work in pairs: Ss ask and answer in pairs with some pictures. Step 3 Game Time (9′) --T: Do you want to play a game with me?
--Ss: Yes. Show the game. There are three passes in the game: The first pass:Read and pick apples(Show an apple tree!); The second pass:Turntable! Turn! Turn! Turn! (Show a Turntable!) ;The third pass:Throw the dice(At first , watch a video!). Step 4 Exercise (2′)
Now, let’s do some exercises. Step 5 Consolidation (1′)
Show some pictures of human beings killing animals and some of human and animal friendly. And call for:Animals are our friends, love them!
Step 6 Homework (30″) Make a conversation with your partners, please use:
