II .Teaching Key Points and Difficulties:

1. Key words: pet, rabbit, basket, cage, hold. Target language: Ss can ask and answer with “Can I have a …? Yes, you can. /No, you can’t.”

2. Difficulties：Ss can use “Can I hold it ?” to ask others to agree. III .Teaching Aids：

Word cards, animal toys and multi-media. IV .Teaching Procedures：

Step 1 Warming up and lead in (1′30″) 1.

Sing an English song: Bingo! Step 2 Presentation (16′ ) 1.

Quick Response: Play some voice of animals, get the Ss to guess

the names of the animals to review the words: pig, tiger, cat, dog, bird.

Show some pictures to teach the new words: pet, rabbit, basket, cage, hold. And the new expressions: Can I have a pet? Yes, you can. / No, you can’t.
