Ss can talk about the positions of rooms fluently. Teaching aid: PPT, video, tickers, books and E-books Teaching process: Step 1: Warm up 1. Greeting: Good morning, boys and girls. Today I will divide you into two groups, boys and girls will have a PK. 2. Review the ordinal numbers:

T: What’s the date today?

S: It’s May 3rd.

T: It’s the third day of May.

(T presents some calendar and invites Ss to talk about the dates)

3. Free talk Greeting and talking about the activities at school.

4. Lead in T: Do you know we will have a new school next term? Ss: Yes! (Present a new school picture) T: This is our new school. What do we have in our new school building? Ss: Art room, classroom …

5. Brain storm: What rooms do you want to have in your school?

Step 2: Presentation 1. Challenge 1: Try to remember (T presents a school building picture and Ss have 1 min to remember the positions

of the rooms.) T: Where’s the …… ? (Invite Ss to tick the pictures on the blackboard.) T: It’s on the … ( T says and input the dialogue.) 2. Teach left and right

T: Look at the building, they are on the left and they are on the right.

(1) Listen first and spell left by phonics.

(2) Reading practice. (3) Listen first and spell right by phonics. (4) Reading practice. (5) Play the game, I say you do.

T: Touch your left ear, touch your right eye, show me your left leg, shack your right hand……

(6) Sing a song: Left and right. 3. T: Where is the music room?

S: It’s on the left.

T: Is this the music room?

S: No! It’s on the third floor. (1) Spell floor by phonics. (2) Talk about the floor, what can you find? (Ss may say the ordinal numbers) (3) Talk about the rooms that where they are.( first floor, second floor, third floor…) (4) English cultural knowledges.( ground floor) 4. Look at the building and find the rooms.

(1) Discuss with partners.
