一、教学目标

（一）、语言和知识目标

1. 学习并会用本节课的词和短语：

talk on the phone, make soup, listen to a CD；

read a newspaper, use the computer, wash the dishes, go to the movies, 2. 重点句型：

① —What are you doing?

—I'm watching TV. ② —What's he doing? —He's using the computer. ③

—What are they doing? —They're listening to a CD. ④

—This is Jenny. —It's Laura here. （二）、情感目标：

通过对本单元的学习活动，能培养培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣，善于发现生活中正在发生的事情，积极思考，乐于助人，乐于参加各种活动的积极情感，培养学生团结合作的精神。

二、教学重点、难点：

1）掌握现在进行时态的构成：be +doing和用法

2) 能运用所学的知识，描述人们正在干的事情。能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。

三、教学过程

Step1. Warming-up and Leading in Play a short movie “What’s she doing ?”Ask students to follow the movie and sing the song “What’s she doing ?”Then ask “Do you like the movie?”

Do you also like watching TV? Now we’re going to learn Unit6 I'm watching TV. First look at our goals of this class.（show on the screen）

Step2. Teacher says just now we have read the goals of this class.Are you confident to study them well.Now let’s begin from the new words.First pronunciate these new words . Then ask several students to read for the class.

New Words: newspaper['nju：z,peɪpə] n.报纸read a newspaper 看报纸

use [ju：z] v.使用；use the computer 用电脑soup [su：p] n.汤

make soup movie ['mu：vɪ] n.电影go to the movies 看电影

At last check the new words（show on the screen）

Step3.1a Well done you all have a good memory.Now you’ll have another challenge.Open your book and turn to Page31.Then finish 1a. Step4. Speaking and practicing 1.Show some pictures of activities on the screen and present the sentence structure. T: What’s she/he doing? She/he is… Ss: She/He is eating…T: What are they doing? Ss:They are…Ask and answer in pairs . （通过课件屏幕上展示的图画，让学生学习和感受现在进行时的人称的结构和用法。

2. Let the students observe and then conclude“The structure of present progressive tense and the present participle.”（让学生观察句子和现在分词形式分别总结出现在进行时的结构和现在分词的构成,培养学生的观察能力和归纳能力。）

Step5. Listening practice 1b. Ask Students to listen to the tape and write down the answers. Check the answers. Step6 Show some pictures of activities on the screen. Ask students to practice the target language in pairs. What’s she/he doing? She/he is…

She/He is eating…

What are you doing? I am... What are they doing?

Step7. Play a guessing game. Show some pictures and let them guess what people are doing.(If he can guess it, he will win a point...) （在大组之间进行竞赛性的游戏活动，能促进学生的竞争意识和学习英语的积极性。）

Step8. Listening practice . Ask the Ss to listen to the tape and write down the answers to2a & 2b .And then check the answers. Step9.2c Role-play the conversation. Choose the lucky numbers (1.2.3) on the screen to practice the conversation according to the rules.
