The period is about health problems. Now that everyone is surely ill in his daily life, I think every student is familiar with this topic and they must be interested in the topic. In this period the teacher should use different ways to motivate students to express the feeling of each illness and their suggestions about how to stay healthy, which develop students’

abilities of listening and speaking and encourage students’

participation in activities so as to cultivate their spirit of cooperation.

2.Students analysis Class 6 Grade10 is made up of 40 students aged 12. Most of them are interested in learning English and they have been hard working, but some of the students are not good at English. On one hand, they are from other cities, on the other hand they are afraid of English, especially memorizing new words. Besides the students are poor at speaking and expressing English.. 3. Language aims

A. To learn the new words: headache, stomach ache, toothache, cold, fever, sore, throat B. To learn the following patterns:

Warming-up:本课是6B Unit4

第三课时Health problems, 上课之前播放Exercise song这首歌,

让学生从歌曲中猜出这可主题可能与健康有关,通过问题和肢体语言导入到今天的主题:模仿咳嗽的情景,问学生:What’s wrong with me?

学生回答:You’ve got a cough.老师接着说:Yes , I’ve got some health problems

Pre-Reading:通过图片来学习今天要掌握的有关疾病的7个单词,首先看音标朗读,再通过练习来准确地读出和运用这些单词,紧接着通过听课文录音,填表格的形式,将今天要学习的句型展现在学生面前:Why do I always have a headache? It’s because you watch too much Television. What should I do? You should watch less television.让学生跟读,模仿对话中的角色进行表演,接着让学生也尝试着做回医生,来判断以下四个人得了什么病,以及原因和建议,然后再通过Pair work的形式表演出来。最后老师给出问题,让学生归纳出预防这些疾病的建议,同时也要提醒学生准确运用too much, too many, less, fewer以及enough,检查学生是否掌握了今天所学的内容以及为后面的教学活动的开展做好铺垫。

Post- reading:老师展示一封学生Kitty写的信,主要讲述了Kitty近来身体问题,老师让请一位学生朗读这封信后,提出问题,让学生分组讨论,给出建议。最后根据学生讨论的建议,给Kitty写一封回信。

本节课主要围绕六种疾病,以及得病的原因和建议,这三方面开展教学活动,活动是由浅入深,层层深入,并运用激励性的语言鼓励学生积极参与,并激发他们运用所学知识去解决现实生活中出现的问题。这节课我感觉有两个方面我觉得比较成功。一是在单词教学中,我设计了一个模仿秀的游戏,请一个学生扮演生病的样子,然后提出问题,邀请另一个学生来猜他得了什么病,学生模仿的逼真形象,并能准确滴用所学句型和单词进行表达,学生在这种玩玩,学学中就掌握了今天所学单词。第二就是设计了一封学生的来信,信的内容与今天所学内容紧密结合,提出问题,让学生分组讨论,学生在讨论的过程中,灵活运用今天所学的内容,针对Kitty的身体问题,提出了合理的建议,总结出两大方面,一是健康的饮食习惯,二是积极参加体育运动。最后让他们根据自己提出的建议,给Kitty回封信,将学生所学知识得到进一步的巩固和深化。

这节课值得改进的地方是too much, too many, less, fewer以及enough这些知识点没有让学生进行操练,有个别学生在对话表演时,没能准确运用,虽然我做了及时的纠正,可能没机会表演的学生也会对他们的用法模糊不清。

教学评价:

该节课紧紧围绕健康问题,设计各种教学活动,活动由浅入深,层层递进,在单词教学中,Look and guess,让学生在模仿中,轻松愉快地运用和巩固了所学单词,在Group discussion这个活动中,老师设计了一封学生的来信,诉说自己身体问题,让学生展开讨论,学生不但运用了今天所学内容,而且还归纳出保持健康应从两方面着手,一是养成良好的饮食习惯,二是有规律参加锻炼,学生在运用知识的同时,也创造性地使用了语言知识,学生从中不仅获得了成功的快乐,而且也达到了英语教学学以致用的目标。
