教材分析：

本单元以“everyday activities” 为话题，谈论正在进行的动作或正在发生的事情。本课时是第三课时，学生在这一节课中将进一步巩固现在进行时的用法及问答，通过“听、说、读、写”活动加强对前两课时的继续学习和拓展，为后面的综合运用语言奠定更坚实的基础。

学情分析：

偏远农村的学生，大部分性格比较腼腆，不敢开口，在加上条件和环境的限制，听、说方面的训练比较少，在口语表达上有所欠缺。随着英语的学习不断深入，学习压力增大和词汇量地不断增长，一部分学生由开始地感兴趣逐渐开始失去兴趣，学习热情下降。为了应对这种现象，在平时的教学过程当中，就要采取多种教学手段，平时教学要尽量照顾到各个层次的学生，让人人有收获，不断增强学生学好英语的信心。

教学目标：

知识与技能

1. 掌握重点词汇和句型：read a newspaper, talk on the phone, listen to a CD, use the computer, make soup, wash the dishes, What are you/they doing? What is he/she doing? I am… They are… He/She is…

2. 培养听力能力。

情感态度价值观目标：

培养同学间的友好相处，激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情，在接近日常生活的交际中能乐于模仿，敢于开口，积极参与。

教学重点：

1. 掌握现在进行时态的结构及用法。

2. 通过不同形式的练习来运用现在进行时态。

教学难点：

1. 掌握现在进行时态的结构及用法。

2. 运用现在进行时来描述人们正在进行的活动。

课前准备：

教学过程：

Step1 Warming-up and Lead-in 1.Greetings. 2. Duty report. Ask two students to read or recite the text as usual.

Step2 Revision Show ppt and let the students answer the questions. T: What is he doing ?

Ss: He is cleaning . T: What is she doing ?

Ss: She is drawing. T: What are they doing ?

Ss: They are watching. ……

Step3 Presentation 1a & 1b 1.

Look at the pictures. Who can tell me where they are? Where is it in Picture1? It’s a pool. …

What’s he/she doing? He/ She is swimming/ shopping/ reading. 教授新单词pool / supermarket /library. 2. Ask the students to

practice the conversation in pairs

Is he swimming in a river? Is she shopping in a supermarket? Is she reading in a library? Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t. He’s playing basketball.

3. Have students practice in pairs in their groups.

Step4 Listening 1c & 1d 1.

OK, now it’s time to practice our listening. Before listening, let’s look through a chart. Where is Alice/Mike/Lisa? Where are they doing?

Play the recording twice. Please listen carefully, then fill in the chart on your book. 2.

Listen again. Check the answers with students.

e.g. Where is Alice? She is in the supermarket. What is she doing? She is shopping in the supermarket.
