4. Let students help others when some people can’t find the place. 让学生学会乐于助人。

I. Greetings and Lead - in 问候以及引入

Step 1. 划分小组，强调竞争机制。问候与喊口号，然后引出视频。Divide the class into Group 1- Group 13. Tell the students that each time they answer questions right, they can get one or more points for their group, and at the end of the class, the group which gets more points will be the winner today. And they can get a small gift. Then greetings：Good morning, boys and girls. To be No.1 go!

Great, sit down, please. Today we will learn Unit 8 Section A 1a-1c. Before our new class, I want to show you a video. Look, there are two questions for you. Please watch it carefully. Step 2. Watch a video about finding a hotel.看视频回答问题

T: Now please answer: what are they doing? How many places can you remember?(students answer) They are: bank, hotel, supermarket and restaurant. So now, let’s study more places in our city--- Luxian. II. Presentation 呈现

Step 1. Teach new words (7 minutes) 教新单词

T: Look(point the picture), what’s this? It’s a bank. So I can say there is a bank in Luxian. (use this way to show the new words one by one). 通过展示泸县的图片，学习一些常见的地方。带入目标句型陈述句“There is...”

When teaching, use little teacher, read one by one, group read, spell together. 小老师，一个个抽读，小组读，齐读等方式。

Step 2. Memory challenge (3 minutes) 记忆挑战，站立说单词。

Flash pictures and ask students to say the words(stand up and say). When finishing the game, group read and translate. Then ask two groups to read like this “restaurant, restaurant,餐馆，餐馆”，other students follow them. Step 3. Game:say Chinese or English. T: Great! Now you can remember these places well, let’s play a game to relax. Step 4. 1a (3minutes)完成书本练习1a. (after the game）T: We have learned these places in Luxian, and now let’s learn some places in our book. Please open your book, turn to page 43. Look, there is a map. Now please match these words with the places in the map. Do it now. Then check answers and read together.

Step 5. Ask and Answer (8 minutes) 句型问答操练。先呈现陈述句，再进行一般疑问句，然后让生帮助师将建筑物贴在相应的街道，进一步巩固句型。

T: (point to the map) There is a hospital near here, yes or no? Then make sentences like this “there is a ... near here” together. Then ask “ Is there a hospital near here?” Teach “Yes, there is. It’s on Bridge

Street.” Then ask two places like this(practice other two streets) Next, T: There are some places. But I can’t find them. Can you help me? Ask: Is there... near here? And ask some students to answer. Teacher puts the places on the blackboard.(边询问边贴教具）

T: Now，please look here（指着黑板贴的建筑物和街道），is there a police station on Bridge Street?-- Yes, there is. Is there a hospital on Center Street? No, there isn’t. It’s on Bridge Street.

Step 6. Pair-work (2minutes) and show (1minute) 句型操练后，进行两人对话，然后展示。

A: Is there a police station on ... Street?

B: Yes, there is./ No,there isn't. It's on... Street.

Step 7.1b Listen and circle. (3minutes) 完成书本听力练习。

T: We have talked about these places , right? And two students are talking about these places, let’s listen to them and circle the places your hear. Check answers and read the tape scripts together. Step 8. Group work （3 minutes,role-play, one police and three people ask ways ）小组活动，角色扮演，一人当警察，另外三人用目标句型操练对话，然后展示。

Ask two groups to show. 2minutes. Ⅲ. Summary (2 minutes) 总结本节课重点单词和句型。

Is there a restaurant/.... near here? (show Chinese, ask students to read English.) Yes, there is. It’s on Bridge /Center/Long Street. No,there isn’t. Ⅳ.Play a game. (3minutes)检测游戏，询问学生想去哪个地方，不同的地方有不同的习题或者加分项目。

T: Where do you want to go? Ⅴ. Emotional education 情感教育，赠人玫瑰手有余香。告知当他人不认识路的时候，可以给与对方帮助。

T: People are always ask the ways, so if we know where is the place, we can

tell them. Please remember “The rose's in her hand, the flavor in mine.” Let’s help others. Ⅵ. Find the winner (group); Homework 找出获胜小组；布置作业。

1. Copy new words, 3times. 2. Ask more places with your partner. Use "Is there...?" And write down your conversation.
