一、教学目标：

1. 知识目标

1) 能学会使用新单词：pool, shop, mall/supermarket, activity

2) 能熟练运用句型：

Is he/she doing homework? No, he/she isn’t.

Where is he swimming? At the pool. 2.能力目标

1）能熟练运用现在进行时谈论正在发生的事情。

2）能对在某地正在发生的事情提问和应答。

3. 情感目标

1) 通过各种形式的任务活动，引导学生在体验、参与、合作与交流中增加了解、增进友谊。

2）在课堂活动中乐于模仿，勇于开口，积极参与同时能提高他们的观察能力和判断能力。

二、教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1) 掌握现在进行时态的结构及用法。

2) 通过不同形式的活动来运用现在进行时态。

2. 教学难点：

能熟练地对在某地正在发生的事情提问和应答。

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision Listen to music and learn it to review the knowledge on the present progressive tense.

II. Lead-in

Look at the pictures. And answer what people are doing and where are they?

T: Look at the pictures below. Where are they? What are they doing? III. Presentation

1. Work on 1a. Please look at the pictures and fill in the blanks.

2. Let some Ss read their answers to the class and check the answers.

3. Guessing game.

Look at the pictures which are covered and guess what people are doing.T: What is he/she doing?

S1: Is he/she…?

S2: Is he/she…?

T: No, he/ she isn’t. He/She is playing the guitar/drinking/running.

IV. Listening Work on 2a and 2b 1. T: Now I will play a recording of a conversation. This time write the places and activities you hear in the chart.

2. Ss listen and complete the chart.

3. Play the recording again for the Ss to check the answers.

V. Listening

1.T: This time, listen to the dialogues again and fill in the blanks. 2.Ss listen carefully and write their answers they heard in the blanks.Conversation 1 A: Hello. Is Alice there?

VII. Game Group PK game –I do you guess 游戏规则：每组派两名同学，一个同学（面对黑板）看短语做动作，

另一个同学（背对黑板）来猜What is he/she doing?限时60秒，看哪组猜的最多。

VIII. Summary
