StepⅡ. Lead in An exchange student called Jenny goes into the Chengdu Zoo to learn about the living conditions of the animals. （设计意图：创设及引入本堂课情景）

Step Ⅲ. Presentation 1. Listen to the sound and recognize animals. 2. Talk about what animals Jenny and I like and why we like them.

3. Present some pictures about animals, then let students talk about the animals and the reason , then show the description words.

B: Because they’re…. （设计意图：通过听音辨别动物，呈现动物名词，让学生谈论喜欢的动物及原因，呈现描述性形容词，进行词汇输入。）

1. Let students express preferences about animals.

2. Do self-check 1, add more words in the chart and talk about it. 3. Show the world map and animals, and talk about where they are from. 4. Present the world map and animals again , then talk about them as following.

5. Do self-check 2 and make a conversation. (设计意图：学生使用目标语言谈论对动物的喜好，进行语言输入。) Jenny wants to know what animals Chinese students like and why they like these animals. Step Ⅵ. Give a report 1. Students make an interview and learn about classmates’ favorite animals. 2. Give a report about interview. (设计意图：学生通过采访收集信息，并向Jenny报告中国学生喜欢的动物情况，进行语言输出。) Jenny also wants to tell us what animals she likes and why she likes them. Step Ⅶ. Listening

1. Listen to the passage about what animals Jenny likes and choose.
