Unit 1-----Who is Cousin Harry? Main topic:

1.Andy的两位阿姨即将来中国;

2.谈论Andy的家庭成员;

Teaching aims:

1.句型结构:sb.+ be + coming to do sth: 表示某人马上要做某事

2.动词have, has的用法。

3.以who 引导的特殊疑问句。

4.四会单词:aunt, uncle, sister, brother, cousin, parents, airport family tree, cycle

四会句子:Aunt Maggie and Uncle Ted are coming to visit us.

He has two aunts. 教法提示:情境教学为主,讲解为辅。

教具准备:一些人物卡片或照片,一张全家福照片或一棵家谱树图,录音机或多媒体

教学过程:

整体构思为:先学会疑问词who的用法,再学习怎样描述人的长相,最后学习某人即将做某事的表达

第一课时

Step 1: Review

1. Sing ABC song

Step 2.

Play a game

1. Show some letters to the students quickly, ask them to read them loudly;

2. Read some letters, ask them to find them as quickly as they can. 3. Show some phonetics, let them read loudly;

4. Ask one or two students read the phonetics, the other students tell true or false

Step 3. Presentation

1. Show a photo of a family, introduce the members to the students using “ This is my…”

2. Learn the new words: uncle, aunt, brother, sister, cousin, parents

3. Point at a man or a woman, ask “Who is she/he?” Help them to answer with “ He/She is…”

Step 4. Practice

1.Point to any student in the classroom, ask “Who is she/he?”

2.Point two or more students in the classroom, ask“Who are they?”

3.Show an old photo, let them guess: Who are they?

4.Work in pairs Step 5. Consolidation 1. Get Ss to go through Activity 1(P3), then check the answers;

2. Then get Ss to play the guessing game, then ask some Ss to role play the dialogue; 3. Get some Ss to write down some names on the blackboard, and the other Ss guess who the person is like this:

Step 1. IQ Quiz: About family members

Who’s your father’s sister?

Who’s the son of your father’s sister?

给学生分发纸片,通过自由寻找与交流(Eg: Excuse me, what’s your name, please? How old are you? Thank you! ), 找到自己的家庭成员并填好他们的信息。
