While reading Step1 Watch and say 【Play video 1：P4-P7】

1.Watch video 1. 2.Know the nick names of Chicago: “The city of the big shoulders”,”Windy city”. 3.Know the reason of the nick names。

Step2 Watch and number 【Play video2-1：P8-P21】

1.Watch the video and number the aspects of Chicago.

Step3 Read ,circle and draw

1.Teacher take “Places for nature-lovers” for an example, teach the students how to draw a mind 1

map. 2.Read the part of their group, draw the mind map of “sports teams”, ”fashion”,”food”and”university”

in 3 minutes. 3.Show the mind map of their group and talk about it. A. Sports teams: Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears B. Fashion :Magnificent Mile C. Food: pizza, steak,cheese cake, hot dog. D. University: the University of Chicago 4.Teacher supplement more information of the 4 aspects. A. Sports teams: colour of their sports suits when they are in home game and away game。B. Fashion : Numbers of shops in Magnificent Mile. C. Food: the strategy of reading picture books.

Read with the video.

After reading Step1 Think and share 1.Think about the topic “Chicago in my eyes”. 2.Talk about it one by one. 3.【Play video 3】

4.Discuss in group of 4 in 1.5 minutes. 5.Show it on stage. Chicago is different in people’s eyes. Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.

Homework Here comes the homework. 1.Listen and read the story.

2.Write a passage of” Chicago in my eyes”, and try to draw a mind map of it.
