教学目标：

How's the weather in Beijing ? What’s the weather like? --It's sunny./raining(rainy) /cloudy /windy /snowing(snowy) 2能力目标：能用所学的知识描述天气能描述正在发生的动作

3.情感目标：教育学生善于观察天气，调整自己的情绪，

了解世界各地天气情况，知道大自然的神奇伟大

四、教学过程

Step 1.

show the teaching aims. Let one student to read the aims. Then show four pictures and teacher asks: What’s he doing? Or What are they doing? Ss answer the questions using the present progressive tense.

Step2.

Teacher: They are doing sports. Do you like sports ? I like sports ,but today I can’t .(show the ppt,6) because it’s raining. Then ask : How’s the weather? What’s the weather like? Help the students answer: It’s raining . Then write the sentence on the blackboard.

Show ppt.pictures to teach the new words : rainy ,windy ,cloudy , snowy and sunny.then show the picture in 1a ,get the students to match the words with the pictures [a--e] , then check the answers . Step 3. Pairwork. Teacher shows the cards , Students ask and answer in pairs : How’s the weather?What’s the weather like? Step 4. Listening :

Play the listening materials , students listen and write the city names in the boxes the 1a, first read the cities ,students listen twice . Then check the answers . Step 5.

Teacher make conversation with one student as a model :

T: Hi, this is Miss liang , S: Hi, this is ...

T: How’s the weather in Shanghai

？

S: It’s cloudy , How’s the weather in Moscow? T：It’s snowy,what are you doing ?

S:I’m washing clothes, what about you ? T: I’m watching TV.

Students ask and answer in pairs using How’s the weather ? And what are doing ? Step 6

weather report

Show a picture of the Liaoning’s weather report . Get three students to the front to introduce the weather in Liaoning . Step 7 Play a guessing game.

Teacher plays the game with a student. One student holds a card and ask the students : How’s the weather ? Teacher guess: Is it windy ? Is it cloudy ? Students answer :No. When the students say , Yes . Game over . This game can get the students to use the knowledge . Step 8 listening

Students listen to the tape in 2a carefully and number the pictures [1-4], and listen again and match the names with the activities in 2b

After listening ,students talk about Joe’s family in groups ,and show to the class : What’s Joe doing? What’s Jeff doing?What’s Mary doing?What’s Aunt Sally doing? Step 10

Song Students listen to a song “How’s the weather ?” and sing with the song ,they are very happy . Step 11
