本单元的话题Talk about rules.与日常生活密切相关。作为一名中学生，遵守校纪、班规、家法和社会公共场所的规章制度是必须的。在谈论规则时，一般运用祈使句、情态动词can和have to等。这是英语新课程标准中规定所必须掌握的内容，是交际英语中必不可少的项目。因此，本单元对于提升学生的学习兴趣和提高学生的听、说、读、写能力都有很大的帮助。

1. 学习祈使句的否定形式。

2. 学会使用祈使句表示规则。

3. 能够熟练使用can和can’t表示许可。

4. 能听懂有关校规的听力，能和同学谈论校规。

Step 1 Review.(4’)

1.Show the test “Unit4_SA_P2-Review”. Write down “rules” on the blackboard. Tell the students: We have some school rules,do you remember them? Let’s have a look at 二次备课

2.Students finsh the test. Now let’s check the answers. Ok,everyone is good, now let’s read the rules.

Step 2 Listening.(10’)

Cindy and Alan talk about the school rules, too. Now let’s have a look that what they are talking about. (5’)2a

Listen check (√) the activities Alan and Cindy talk about. 1.Show the test “Unit4_SA_2a”.

2.Please turn to page 20. Look at the activities in 2a and read them aloud. After reading, get the students to listen and check the activities Alan and Cindy talk about. Play at least once for them to listen and check. (5’)2b

Step 4 Role-play.(10’)

When you have to go to a new school, you want to be a good student so you may want to know about school rules. John is at a new school. Let’s see what rules his new school has. 1.(5’)

Look at you book, read the conversation, answer the questions.
