一、学情分析

七年级学生处于外语初步学习阶段，因此要充分利用各种数资源，多媒体教学手段，通过视、听、说、写、表演等多种学策略给学生输入可理解的语境，训练他们的英语思维，丰富英语词汇的存储，促进语言的实际应用和表达。尤其要激发学生学习英语的兴趣。学生此前已经学过由why. where，what引导的特殊疑问句句型，具有了学习本单元知识的认知前提。形形色色的动物能激发学生的好奇心，产生了解它们的欲望，这有利于本单元知识的教学和学生学习兴的培养。

二、教学内容

本课时主要是让学生复习我们常见动物的名称和学习用一些简单的形容词来描述动物，学会运用why，what， where引导的问句来表达个人对动物的喜好，了解动物的外形、生活习性及主要产地，并能运用英语简单地描述自己喜欢的动物，培养和激发学生热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的思想感情。 三、教学目标： 1.语言知识目标：

（1）掌握本课的重点词汇。

（2）掌握并灵活运用重点句型。

（1）掌握表示动物的名词和描写动物特征的形容词。

（2）用英语谈论、描述动物并表达对动物的喜爱，并说明理由。

（3）运用所学过的 where，what，whw引导的问句进行问答。

（4）培养学生听说读写的语言运用能力。

3.情感态度价值观目标

通过让学生描述自己所喜爱的动物，来激励学生爱护动物，了解自然，

进而体会到保护环境的重要性。

十、教学过程

Step l Warming up & Lead-in

1. Greetings. 2. Enjoy the video This Is the Savanna to cheer the students up.(视频音乐导入，吸引学生注意力。) 3. Game. Memory challenge. Students observe the pictures and remember what animals are behind the tree in ten seconds.The student who answers the question gets one point for the whole group. (小组评比机制调动课堂气氛。) 4. Free talk. Ss talk about what animals they like and why they like them.Then show their opinions to the whole class and get points for their groups. （复习巩固已学句型,持续竞争。）

Step 2. Presentation 1.

Guess what animals are under the clouds.Ss answer and get points. 2.

3a. Guide Ss to read the descriptions and use word cards to learn the new words.Ss match the descriptions with the animals and get points for their groups.（用单词卡教单词，直观形象。）

3. Game. Show the new word cards quickly, students look at the words, then stand up and say the word out as soon as possible, then sit down. （利用同起、同说、同座的游戏形式，吸引学生的兴趣，活跃课堂气氛，可以强化学生说和读单词的能力；同时帮助学生养成良好的记单词习惯。）

4. 3b. Students look at the lion in 3a and fill in the blanks one by one and get the points. 5. Watch the video My Pet My Buddy, introduce my pet dog Tiantian,use a mind map to teach students to write a description of my dog.（观看视频唤起喜欢的动物的感受，冲击视觉系统，加强了学生本课语言目标的印象，加快接受速度，用贴近生活的动物来教学，学生更容易接受。）

Step 3 Practice 1.3c. Give some pictures to the Ss. Ss write their own descriptions of all kinds of animals with the mind map and the pictures.(提供写作素材和方法，学生写起来更轻松。)

2.4.One S read his/her description,other Ss guess what the animal is and get points. Step 4 情感态度价值观渗透

Animals are our friends. 动物是我们的朋友。 Protecting animals is protecting ourselves! ! 我们应该让自己的房间变得整齐并且漂亮！
