一、教材分析

本单元话题为国家(Nationality)。

单元A,B部分要求学生能够初步识别相应国家与国旗，并运用"Where are you from?","I come from……"这个句型询问他人来自何处，并对该询问做出回答。单元C部分则要求学生能够了解这些国家的标志性建筑。D部分介绍了一些国家特有的动物。本课时为本单元的第一课时，课型为词汇教学。

二、教学目标

1.认知目标

能够听懂、认读新单词：China, Canada, Australia, France, the UK, the USA, 以及词组come from。能够运用"Where are you from?", "I come from……"询问他人来自何处，并对该询问做出回答。

2.能力目标

能够简单讨论自己或他人的国籍。

3.情感态度目标

通过欣赏本课时所涉及到的国家的美丽风景，学生能够萌发了解国家文化的兴趣。

三、教学重、难点

1.教学重点

能够听懂、认读新单词，并能运用所学句型讨论自己或他人来自何处。

2.教学难点

（1）单词的发音，如多音节单词Australia, 有闭唇音的come from。

（2）the USA 和 the UK的辨别。因这两个单词字形相近，容易混淆。

（3）美国、英国、和澳大利亚三个国家国旗的辨认。

（4）表示国家的专有名词首字母要大写。

四、教学准备

1.多媒体课件。

2.单词卡片。

3.用于竞争机制的国旗。

4.提前板书标题"Unit8 Where are you from?"及竞争机制。

五、教学过程

Step1. Warm–up

1.Greeting 2.Free talk What do you often do in summer holidays?

设计意图：在这个free talk 中，图片引导学生用上一个单元学的动词短语回答，既是一个引入，也是复习。

Step2. Presentation

1.Lead-in

T: I like traveling. Today, we will travel around the world. Team 1 and Team 2start at here, which team can get here firstly? Let’s come on!

2.New words and sentences

（1）

学习新单词China ①T:The first place， We will visit the Great Wall and Tian'anmen Square . They are in China. ②带读、个别点读、抓手指游戏操练China。

（2）

come from ①T: You come from China. He comes from China. She comes from China. I come from China. ②板书I come from China。

③T: All of us come from China.

What does "come from" mean? 板书为come from注释

④带读并操练词组come from ⑤代入句型Where are you from?

I come from China.

设计意图:因为大家都是来自中国，所以在教学完新单词China以后，马上导入句型，会更加贴切。

（3）学习新词Australia ①T: This is the second country we visit. It has the Sydney Opera House and koala bears. It is in Australia. ②出示卡片Australia, 并分音节带读。

③Check one by one.（单个点读，因是难点单词）

④拍手操练。

⑤代入句型进行操练。

（4）同样的步骤学习其他的国家名称

T: The next place, you choose. ①Canada（详）（自行拼读、拼写记忆）

（5）单词总体复习

①Flash cards. ②I say English you say Chinese, I say Chinese you say English . ③Flags review. ④What’s missing.

（6）学习问句

通过教师和一名学生的演示，引导学生问答。

Step3. Practice

1.Passing game

在音乐声中传递国旗的图片，当音乐停止时，谁拿到图片，谁就起来，其他同学一起问他：Where are you from? 这位同学根据图片回答: I come from……然后换其他图片，继续传递。
