Cultivate the ss’ reading skill and cooperative sprite. Teaching procedures: Step1 Pre-reading 1.

Show some pictures of beans and beanstalk. 2.

Talk about the pictures and try to read the words:bean, beans, beanstalk and lead in the class. Step2 While-reading 1.T shows the pictures of the story with record one by one by PPT. The story is cut into four parts. After each part there is a filling blanks task for this part. 2.T ask the ss to finish it by themselves first.Then, T asks some ss to read it. T checks the reading. And then ss read it together while looking at the screen. 3.T asks some questions with the story going on. a.They are poor. What do they do? b.What does Jack see? c.Who lives in the castle? d.How about the giant? e.What does Jack do,then? d.Are you hapy? 4.Story show. T leads ss to retell the story in groups of four. Each student should tell one part of the story.They can also add the dialogues of the roles into their show. 5.Be happy all the time. T: Are you happy now? Ss:Yes. T: Before we say goodby. I want to tell you. Maybe you are rich ,maybe you are poor, pls be happy all the time.
