Unit 4 Don’t eat in class Section A 2d—3c 一. 教学目标

1.记忆单词:outside,wear,important,bring,uniform,quiet 短语:have to,be quiet,my first day at school 2.学会写出Don’t开头的祈使句,了解have to和must之间的异同。

3.能够使用can和can’t表达“允许”或“不允许”。

Can we eat in the classroom?No,we can’t,but we can eat in the dining hall.

4.了解校规的内容,提高遵守校规的主动性。

二. 教学内容

复习、运用情态动词can,can’t,must和have to询问和回答学校规定的句型:Can we eat in the 2.学会否定形式的祈使句表示“禁止”:Don’t run in the hallways.

教学重难点

1.正确使用祈使句书写书面的规章制度,学会have to作为情态动词的用法。

2.能够清楚have to与其他情态动词的不同,情态动词的疑问句和否定句不需使用助动词,而have to需要借助助动词。

3.听懂、说出校规的口语表达句子。

三. 教学思路

本课时的教学内容是人教版七年级下册英语第四单元的第二课时,重点在于引导学生通过对话的情境,训练听、说有关校规的对话,并从中学习、练习相关生词、短语以及情态动词can,can’t,must和have to,使用否定祈使句表达“禁止”的书面用语。以任务激发学生学习的主动性和积极性,本课时的任务以听和说为主,配合一些简单的写句和连词成句练习来巩固语法知识和本单元内容的学习。从单元内容中总结、归纳出询问和表达“能(不能)做什么”、“禁止做什么”以及“必须做什么”的句型和情态动词的用法,小结后,加以书面写句、连词成句的练习,巩固所学的语法。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的生词、短语,情态动词,询问和回答有关校规的句型。情感目标定为让学生对校规进行学习,了解规章制度的必要性和提高遵守规章制度的自觉性。

四. 教学过程

Step 1.Lead in Leading in

Warm up by reviewing the school rules in 1a and talking about the students breaking the school rules. The teacher shows the school rules in 1a and get Ss to read and talk about them.

通过对话,复习相关的校规,轻松进入谈论规章制度的语境,利用PPT展示书面规则和违反规定的情境,让学生容易地运用目标句型,运用情态动词口语表达出书面的校规。

Step 2. Reading and role-playing(2d) 1.Before reading the conversation,the teacher helps the class to know what the conversation is about. T:When you have to go to a new school,you want to be a good student so you may want to know about school rules.John is a new student.Let’s see what rules his new school has. 2.T:Now open your books and read the conversation. Get the students to read and answer the questions. T:What are John and Alice talking about? Ss:School rules. T:How many rules does Alice mention? Ss:Four rules. T:Now read the conversation more carefully.And try to answer this question:What rules does the school have? Ss read and answer it. The teacher gets the students to answer and write them on the blackboard. Dos:Wear the school uniform.Be quiet in the library. Don’ts:Don’t be late for school.Don’t bring music players to school.

读前先帮学生进入情境,阅读中提问以加深理解对话的内容,并让学生探究情态动词的用法,学习语言知识。最后通过disappearing dialog训练学生对知识的记忆和口头表达能力。当堂掌握对话。

Step 3.Grammar Focus 1.T:(Play the PPT and get the students to read them aloud.)Please read the questions and answers in Grammar Focus. 2.(Learn the grammar.) T:Look at these sentences.Think of these questions: (1)How to make a negative imperative? (2)The same use of the model verbs. (3)The use of “can” in this unit and in the other units.

(4)The differences between “have to” and other model verbs.

3.Ss discuss these questions.Then the teacher explains and teaches the language points. [设计意图]

通过本单元的语言材料,通过提问引起学生对重点内容的注意,学生总结归纳英语语法要点,对重点内容精听精解,易于学习掌握。

Step 4.Practice (3a-3b) 1.T:Now,let’s look at picture 1 in Activity 3a.Can we talk in the library?

Ss write the rules.And read to their partners to check the writing. 3.After that,come to Activity 3b.Make questions and write answers using the words.In this way students can retell the library rules using model verbs,have to and can. Students write the questions and answers in their books. 【Keys】
