Lesson 5 Making Yourself at Home

课时：第一课时

教材分析：本单元以“交友”为主题，主要展示同学们课后与同学交往的礼仪和行为。本课主要学习如何礼貌的征询意见和进行回答。---May I…? ---Yes, please. /Yes, of course .来培养学生礼貌待客的良好品质。通过Summer 在Ting Ting 家做客的活动来练习次句型。

学情分析：六年级学生已经有了一定的英语基础，该班大部分学生都很喜欢英语，乐于开展小组活动，善于学习，学习兴趣浓，且能比较熟练得将所学知识运用于实际交际中。但也有一小部分学生英语基础差，只能基本认读所学知识。

教学目标：知识目标：1.能初步听、说、认、读短语：open the window, close the door, turn on the light, turn off the light 2.能初步听懂、会说本课重点句型：“---May I---?

---Yes, please/Yes, of course”. 3.技能目标：能初步运用“---May I---? ---Yes, please/Yes, of course”句型礼貌的征询意见和进行回答。

文化意识目标：通过对本课的学习，培养学生礼貌待客的良好品质。

学习策略：合作学习，自主学习

情感目标：1.让学生在学习中体会学习英语的乐趣。2.培养学生良好的英语学习习惯和合作精神。3.培养学生礼貌待客的良好品质。

教学重难点：重点：1、能听懂、会说所本课短语

2 、能听懂会说本课句型：“---May I---? ---Yes, please/Yes, of course”。

难点：能准确运用句型：“---May I---”?并在情境中交际。

导学过程

Step 1 Warm-up T: 1. Greetings

2Leading –in: Last night, My son had a bad cough, he couldn’t

fall

asleep , so I didn’t sleep well too. Now I’m tired, May I have a rest? Yes?

Students answer yes, teacher helps to answer

: Yes , of course./Yes please. PPT呈现此句型，学生跟读练习。

Step 2 Work in pairs T: Present the PPT. Then ask two students to read the dialogue. Ask a student to read the phrases. Students read the phrases together. Students work in pairs. Practice: May I----? ---Yes, please. /Yes, of course礼貌的征询意见和经行回答。

Act out. 请3-4对同学起来表演。

Present new words：

教师边说边做，引出新单词。如：教师一边说May I open the window?一边打开窗户；学生回答Yes, please.教师呈现单词卡片open the window.以同样方法教学其他单词。教单词的同时，还一边巩固该课的主要句型。

Step3 Play a game 

Present the PPT,

游戏内容：May I…? 

游戏方法：每位游戏者先站在“Starting line”(起点线）的旁边，使用“May I take …step(s)?”请求前进，得到批准后可前行相应的步数，最先到达“Finishing line”(终点线）的学生就是冠军（winner) 通过游戏进一步巩固本课重点句型：“May I---?”

In lesson 4, we’ve learned that Le Le , Rose ,Summer paid a visit to Ting Ting ’s home .Then what would they like to do there? Listen to the tape carefully and answer the questions. Then students read the text after the tape. Students read the text by themselves

3.能创设情境，表演对话的，加3颗星。

补充外国人的做客礼仪PPT展示。
