Teaching aims and demands: 1.Knowledge aims and demands: i.Grasp the following words:do the dishes,night ,before,dirty,in the kitchen,more,noisy,relax,read,terrible,feel,be strict with,remember,follow the rules. ii.Grasp the following patterns: ①There are many rules. Parents and schools are sometimes strict. ②Imperatives(Don’t...)can for permissions.Modal verbs(have to,must). 2.Ability Objects ①Students learn to talk about the rules with others in their life by working in pairs and reading. ②Students can share the rules at school or home and make some rules with the target language. 3.Moral Objects Let students talk about the rules and lead them to follow the rules. Teaching Methods: ①Task-based teaching ②Focus on reading strategy Talk,ask and answer,read,practice. Teaching key points:

①Show some more rules at school or home.

②Learn to follow some rules by reading and working in pairs..

②Improve students’reading and speaking skills by talking about the rules . Students analysis: Students have some background knowledge of some activities about school rules,and they can follow most of them,so it is easy to take part in the teaching activities in class,and it is good for oral and reading teaching. Teaching procedures: Step1:Lead-in 1.Talk about the rules in the life by asking and answering about it with students. 2.Show a picture of students'school life,then talk about their feelings about these rules to get them to know how to deal with this problem.(Talk with friends,classmates,parents,teachers and others) Step2:Reading 1.Teacher shows the letter in 2b for students to get them to understand the format of the letter(Receiver,Body,Ending),read the first letter quickly and answer two questions. 2.Listen to the passage and focus on key words and phrases about rules for the first time,then ask students to answer the questions. 3.Check the answers.Then let students read the letter again and underline the rules in it.After that,check the answer according to the time.(Before school,At school,After school) 4.Check the answers by reading each paragraph.Then learn new some words and phrases in 2c. 5.Read the letter,and grasp the expressions of talking about rules.(Don’t... You must/have to...) Step3 Consolidation 1.Lead students to read the second from Dr.know with emotion to express the writer’s feeling by working in pairs. 2.Practice reading this letter by asking some students to read it,the teacher correct the pronunciation mistakes.Then finish two sentences about this letter. Step4 Practice

1.Students read the two letters and find out these words and phrases :do the dishes,be strict with,remember,follow the rules.Teacher explains them. 2.Read again,the read the sentences in 2c,then give them three minutes to complete the words with the modal verbs must/have to in the box by reading. 3.Check the answers by reading the sentences. 4.Show a saying “Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards”to lead students to follow the rules and understand their parents and schools. Step 5 Summary 1.Sum up how to talk about the rules with others with the target language and . 2.Learn some words and phrases by reading. 3.We should follow the rules and look ahead of the future. 新课，开展教学。为了让学生能够理解书信内容。通过设置阅读任务，让学生在带着问题去阅读内容，理解大意。同时，按照时间顺利，让学生围绕主题找出书信中所提及到规则，让学生在学习语言的同时能够认识到自己的学习生活，生活中我们的规则虽然很多，但可以很好的约束我们和要求，对我们的成长有很大的帮助。教学话题比较贴近学生的生活，教学内容有启发教育作用，便于在课堂教学中互动。在课堂中，学生能够充分运用已有知识，充分体验到学习过程的快乐和成功的喜悦，对于学生的能力训练才能产生积极的效果。因此，在每一堂课中，课堂教学内容都要精心的设计，充分的考虑学情，分析教材，学习教学案例，转变教育观念，运用新课程理念，改变教育教学方式，提高课堂教学的有效性。
